JVN Complete Conditioning Mist Review

Image
I am really enjoying using the JVN Conditioning Mist. I have dry, curly, frizzy hair that I straighten quite a lot and this mist really helps to keep my hair hydrated and soft. It can be used on wet or dry hair and provides heat protection, whilst preventing tangles and keeping the frizz at bay. Its vegan friendly and silicone free. It also contains hyaluronic acid. I have tried a few products from the JVN range (created by Jonathan Van Ness) and I have loved them all. I really like the Air Dry Cream and the Nourishing Shine Drops as well. The JVN Conditioning Mist costs £10 for the 60ml travel size and £20 for the 147ml full size version from SpaceNK .   Leigh 💜 I purchased this product with my own money

*The Hair Boss The Anti-Static Mist & The Humble Co. Biodegradable Bamboo Toothbrush

Image
*I received these products for free but the opinions are my own. I have curly hair so I definitely suffer from the frizzies around my hairline (even when I straighten my hair those pesky short hairs around my forehead can be such a pain to deal with), so I was happy to try out The Hair Boss The Anti-Static Mist* and the Humble Biodegradable Bamboo Toothbrush* (I know you are probably thinking what has a toothbrush got to do with frizzy hair, but stay with me folks and I will explain all). First of all the Hair Boss The Anti-Static Mist* is a superfine mist that neutralises and controls fly-aways, static and frizz. It smooths split ends and at the same time enhances shine (another god send for curly haired peeps). This spray forms a thin coating around the hair shaft and is suitable for all hair types. You can use the mist before and after styling for a shiny, smooth finish. It doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky or stiff either. It costs £8.99 from Superdrug for 150ml...

My Quest for the Perfect Curly Hair Products

Image
I have curly hair and I'm always on the lookout for new products as I haven't found my holy grail product for taming my curls yet.  I decided last weekend while out shopping to buy a few curl products I haven't tried before to see if there are any really great products out there.  Join me on my quest.   I bought a couple of products from the John Frieda Frizz Ease Range.  Curl Reviver Mousse and Unwind Curls Calming Creme. I also bought Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Ultimate Curl Nourishing Oil and Lee Stafford HerE come the CurLs. Finally I bought Schwarzkopf got2b Beach matt mermaid look Texturizing Salt Spray. I haven't tested them out yet but just wanted to show you what I'd bought so far.   Also on my wish list are some products from the Aveda Be Curly range but I'm waiting for an offer from somewhere like Harvey Nichols before I splurge. I will post a review of the products when I've used them. If any of you have any recommendat...

Tommy Guns Smooth & Finish Creme Review

Image
I just thought I would let you know about Tommy Guns Smooth & Finish Creme. It’s a brand that I haven’t tried before, but I thought I would give this product a go, because I have curly hair that I mostly wear tied back in a ponytail or a bun when I am at work to keep the frizz at bay. This mostly works, but I still end up with short frizzy bits sticking up all over the place near my hairline by the end of the day.  Tommy Guns Smooth & Finish Creme really does control those frizzy bits and even at the end of the day, every hair is still in place. The added bonus is that it does not leave any residue in your hair and it does not leave you hair looking stiff and crispy. You can buy Tommy Guns at Asos  or Superdrug  and it costs approximately £6.50 for 100ml.   It contains Jojoba Oil for shine & smoothness and Vitamin E to leave hair moisturised and protected. If you are looking for a serum to do the same job then check out my rev...

Ojon Rare Blend Tamer Wand Review

Image
Here's my review on the Ojon Rare Blend Tamer Wand.  I am trying to search out products that help with my curly, frizzy unruly hair and I really think I have found something that does.  So often you read about products and think they sound perfect for your needs, but the reality is that a lot of the time, you end up being disappointed.   The Ojon Rare Blend Tamer Wand is really easy to use, almost like a mascara wand for your hair.  I usually end up with some short strands of hair around my hairline, frizzing up by the end of the day and nothing really seems to flatten them down for any decent length of time.  I just comb this through the front and side bits of my hair and the gel like liquid flattens the frizzy bits and they stay that way for the rest of the day.  It doesn't leave my hair looking greasy and it doesn't leave any flaky bits in my hair. It costs £12.50 for 13ml at Boots, which sounds like a lot, but a little goes a long way and I...
