TK Maxx Bargains - Chanel Nail Polish

Image
I often browse in TK Maxx during my lunch break as they sell some great brands at bargain prices, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a shelf of Chanel nail polishes for a mere £7.99 each, when they usually retail at £22.  I quickly checked out all the colours available and whilst some of them were not the greatest colours I have ever seen, there were a few that were right up my alley.  I ended up buying 3 shades, Tutti Fruitti a gorgeous shimmery coral colour, Pink Tonic , a hot pink shade with a hint of shimmer and Rouge Moire which is a beautiful burgundy metallic shade. They are all colours that I would pay full price for (well at duty free anyway) as they are just lovely. I will definitely keep an eye out for more Chanel products in TK Maxx in the future. Have you picked up any bargains in TK Maxx recently? Leigh I bought these products with my own money

Primark Metallic Makeup Collection Haul

Image
As usual I couldn't resist picking up a few things when I popped into Primark.  Their Makeup range has really upped it's game over the last year or so.  I love the gorgeous metallic makeup that's in store at the moment.  I couldn't stop putting things in my basket. First up is the PS Precious Metals Nail Polish .  I loved these as soon as I saw them and when I tried them on at home they were as good as they looked.  The colours are: L-R Groupie/Starstruck/Rock N Gold Groupie is a dark bronze colour Starstruck is a copper colour Rock N Gold is a pale gold colour They all needed 2 coats to look opaque and they look fantastic.  They cost £1.50 each (total bargain) for 10.5ml, but look like they are from a premium range. I think these will look great  all year round. Next I bought 2 PS Precious Metals Liquid Eyeshadows which were £2 each. I bought Copper Dip and Molton Gold which are both lovely colo...

Nail Polish Storage

Image
You know you have too many nail polishes when your stash looks like this (and there are still some hidden away on top of my wardrobe!!!). I thought it was time that I bought some nice storage boxes so that my polishes don't look so messy.  I looked on ebay and Amazon and found some great options but in the end decided this was exactly what I was looking for. It fits in 48 bottles of nail polish, 24 on each side.  This does include 3 adjustable sections for smaller bottles.  The sections are too small for Ciate nail polishes unfortunately but I've not come across any other polishes that don't fit.  It costs £21.99 per box which admittedly is not cheap when you need to get at least another 3 boxes (the shame!!!!) but I have decided that I will only buy them when I have saved up enough vouchers from the online surveys I complete (see my post about surveys here ). Let me know about any great storage containers th...

Image
Zoya is my absolute favourite nail polish brand.  I love it.  I don't get to buy it often as it's quite expensive in the UK and not available is many shops in the US. So when I get a chance to buy some I generally go mad.  These are some that I recently purchased. Colours Left - Right: Ki - This is a gorgeous multichromatic oil-slick shade combining silver, purple, blue and green with a metallic finish. Colours Left - Right: Leia - This is a sheer white colour with ...

Metallic Nail Polish

Image
I love metallic nail polish for so many reasons.  It's easy to apply and more often than not only requires 1 coat.  It drys quickly, you don't need to apply a top coat and if it chips, it's very easy to apply another coat over the top to cover up the chip.  They are the perfect shades for summer and winter and are appropriate for day and night.  At least I think so.  What's not to love.  So I thought I would just share a few of my favourite metallic nail polishes with you. From left to right in the photos above: L'Oreal Color Riche Saphir Treasure - This is a baby blue metallic shade Essie - Nothing Else Metals - A gorgeous metallic lilac that I never get bored of. L'Oreal Color Riche Sweet Amethyst - This is the perfect rose gold colour OPI Haven't The Foggiest - This is a great silver polish Marc Jacobs Gatsby - This is another rose gold shade that is slightly darker than the L'Oreal one above Illamasqua Snap - This is a dark silver me...

WAH London Nail Polish in Private Plane Review

Image
One of the reasons that I keep subscribing to beauty boxes is the chance to try out brands that I haven't come across before.  One such brand is WAH London Nail Polish which I recently received in a Birchbox . I received the shade Private Plane which is a pastel baby blue colour that I think is perfect for summer. You only need to apply 2 coats for the perfect coverage and it dries pretty quickly which is always a plus for me, as I find it hard to sit still long enough for my nail polish to dry and end up smudging at least one nail. I did apply a top coat and the polish lasted for 2 days before chipping.  This is pretty normal for me as I am quite hard on nail polish especially as I have my own horse, so my nails get quite dirty and grubby when I am grooming or washing my horse. WAH Nails is all about nail art and started life in East London and was founded by Sharmadean Reid.  There is now a branch in Topshop Oxford Circus in London so I can't wait to go...

Revlon Chroma Chameleon Nail Polish Poundland Haul

Image
I bought this haul a while ago (so haven't broken my spending ban) but haven't had a chance to post it before now as I have been posting my holiday hauls. I should never go into Poundland as I am always tempted.  These seemed a really good deal as alot of the time the nail polishes look really old and the polish itself has separated but these looked as good as new.  When I spotted them I thought they looked really pretty and as I looked through the shelf I kept finding more and I couldn't put any of them back as they were all such lovely colours. These are called Revlon Chroma Chameleon. L-R Tanzanite, Gold, Aquamarine, Topaz, Pink Qurtz, Cobalt Tanzanite - The main colour is purple which changes to a goldy bronze. Gold - This starts gold and changes to green. Aquamarine - This is a gorgeous aqua blue which changes to a purple. Topaz - This is a greeny gold which looks like it might change to a darker green although its hard to tell looking at the bo...

Zoya & O.P.I Nail Polish Haul

Image
Here's some more pictures of my holiday nail polish haul.  I recently posted my Zoya PixieDust haul which was also part of it  here .  I must admit I went a little bit mad as the Zoyas were only $8.50 and the O.P.Is were $7.50.  I could have bought more but managed to hold back and not buy the whole store (although I'm regretting it now). Zoya Haul As well as the 3 PixieDust polishes I also bought another 4 Zoya polishes. There were some lovely colours to choose from and I spent ages in the store before finally deciding on the 4 below. Tinsley, Hazel, Noel, Feifei Tinsley Zoyas website describes it as rose gold foil metallic and to be honest that's exactly what it is a reddy pink colour mixed with fine gold glitter. Its a beautiful colour and I cant wait to try it on my nails.  Hazel   Zoyas website describes this as a blue green foil metallic. This is a lovely silvery blue mixed with a fine gold glitter. Gorgeous. Noel ...

Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish Haul

Image
Let me start off by saying that I love Zoya nail polishes.  They are probably my favourite brand but as you can only get them online and they are quite expensive, I've never bought any.  I got into them when I received some in beauty boxes over the last couple of years and also swapping with people but that's about it. When I was recently in America I came across a small shop that sold a range of beauty products and had stands with loads of Zoya polishes for $8.50 and O.P.I polishes for $7.50.  Man was I in my element.  I know I was on holiday but I think I went into that shop every evening and bought something (it would be rude not to).  In the end I got a great haul which I will post about soon but I was most excited about getting some Zoya PixieDust nail polishes. They are such lovely colours and in hindsight I wish I had bought more of them but never mind no need to be greedy.   In the end these are the 3 I picked up. Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish in Li...
