Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipsticks and NYX Shimmer Down Lip Veil Haul

Image
I was recently in Boots killing time and had a wander around the make up aisles as you do!!!!   There was a 3 for 2 offer on a number of the makeup ranges so who could resist picking up some make up (not me!).  I could have bought loads but I finally settled on 2 Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit  Lipsticks and a NYX Shimmer Down Lip Veil.   I picked up Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipsticks in Acai So Serious which is a metallic berry shade and Life's No Pink-Nic which is a deep pink metallic shade.  They are both gorgeous shades and what I love about metallic lipsticks is that they look great on my lips even though I have thin lips and usually I avoid dark shades.  They glide on so smoothly and dry down quickly and honestly I couldn't tell I was wearing lipstick when I had these shades on.  They don't dry out my lips at all.  These are available at Boots and cost £4.99 each.   I didn't even realise the Boots carried Wet n Wild so it was great ...

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Metallic Lipcolor

Image
I was browsing around Superdrug and noticed the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Metallic Lipcolors, which I just had to pick up.  Luckily there was a 3 for 2 offer on as well as a free Revlon Eyes, Cheeks + Lips Palette when you bought 2 Revlon products.  Anyway with those offers on I couldn't say no.  I bought 3 of the lip colours - 690 Gleam, 680 Glam & 705 Shine. I think there are 6 different shades in total at Superdrug.   L-R Gleam, Glam & Shine Gleam is a light peach colour Glam is a dusky pink which I love Shine is a dark berry colour They all apply really well and feel very creamy on my lips.  They don't dry down like a matte lipstick and really I wouldn't say they were matte at all. They feel moisturising and my lips don't feel sticky at all.  The doefoot applicator is very soft and applies the lip colour really well, I needed to apply 2 coats to get full coverage.  They smell lovely (good enough to eat) and when I chec...

Nugg Lip Mask Review

Image
I spotted Nugg Lip Mask in Selfridges when I was last in London and I couldn't resist picking it up.  It comes in a cute little gold ball which kinda reminds me of the Harry Potter Quidditch Golden Snitch ball. It is an all natural lip mask that hydrates and softens lips.  You apply a generous layer of the product to your lips and leave on for 20 minutes to let it sink in, then gently remove any product that remains.  You can use it any time, as often as you like.  I prefer to use it on a night, once or twice a week but depending on how dry your lips are you may want to use it more. The ingredients are all natural - Shea Butter, Coconut Oil (both ingredients hydrate and soften lips), Liquorice Root Complex (helps naturally enhance lips) & Irish Moss Extract (conditions lips).  The product is all natural and vegan and there are no petrochemicals, parabens, synthetic fragrances or colours. Nugg Lip Mask costs £10 for 7g....

L'Oreal Sexy Balms Review

Image
Now let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of the name of this L'Oréal product - Sexy Balms, it's just a bit much.  It's a shame as otherwise it's a really nice product but never mind it's a small thing to dislike.  Anyway now that I've got that off my chest lets get on with the review. I bought 3 different colours from the L'Oréal Sexy Balms range which are all sheer - Break The Rules & As If! which are both lovely coral colours, with Break The Rules being the darker of the two and Go Pretty or Go Home which is a fab pink colour. I love these balms (sorry I can't say Sexy Balms).  They apply to your lips easily without any dragging and moisturise and hydrate your lips well.  The colour only lasts a couple of hours and if you eat a meal the colour doesn't stick around at all, but a quick swipe of the balm across your lips is all you need to reapply it.  This is a great product which gives your lips a lovely...

Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment Review

Image
I am obsessed with lip oils and face masks at the moment (I know it's a bit of a random combination!).  So I thought I would start off reviewing one of my recent lip oil purchases, Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment .  I bought 2 on a recent visit to Florida, the Nourishing Raspberry and the Protecting Pomegranate Lip Treatments.  They both have a fruity fragrance, but it's not strong which is good and you can taste it a little when you first apply the lip treatment.  There is the faintest colour, but my lips are quite highly pigmented so the colour does not show up on my lips.  It's a thick oil consistency, but it doesn't feel sticky on my lips and it makes my lips feel instantly moisturised as soon as I apply the lip treatment. The only thing I don't like is the doe foot applicator.  It's much too big and really stiff.  There is no give in the applicator whatsoever.   Overall I like the Milani Mois...

It's All About The Lips- My Favourite Lip Products

Image
I am not blessed with lush, full lips, so I tend not to wear really dark shades on my lips.  They also get quite dry, so I am yet to brave a matte lip.  That being said, I do love lipsticks and glosses so here are some of my favourite lip products. To keep my dry lips in tip top condition, I love using Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream overnight   as it guarantees that my lips look and feel moisturised every morning.   Right now it's £11.95 for 50ml at Fragrance Direct .   If my lips are feeling particularly, dry then I use Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub .  It's pretty much sugar and tastes really sweet (not sure if you are supposed to lick it off your lips, but it tastes so nice).  It's £5.50 for 25g. I don't use lip pencils every day, but when I do I reach for Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat  in Pillow Talk .  It's a neutral pinky colour that is a shade darker than my natural lip colour and it's creamy consistency makes it easy to apply and...
