*Christmas Opoly A Merry Game to Celebrate the Season

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. *Christmas Opoly is a fun game, which is a festive twist to the classic Monopoly game that we all know and love. First of all choose which player token you want  to be. Choose from Scrooge, Candy Cane, Teddy Bear, Rudolph, Toy Train and Lump of Coal. The rules are similar to the classic game, if you land on a property, you can buy it. Properties start from Lump of Coal Lane for $70 (this game is in US Dollars) all the way up to Merry Christmas To All! which costs $425. Rent is paid by other players who land on owned properties. If you land on a Holiday Cheer or Bah Humbug space, you take the relevant card. Holiday Cheer cards say things like 'Gift Certificate Collect $100' or 'Ho!Ho!Ho Move the token of your choice to the space of your choice'. Whereas Bah Humbug cards say 'Accidentally run over by a reindeer Pay $100 Doctor fee' or 'Credit Card Declined Move back 10 spaces'. Any money that n...

*The Christmas Express Game

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. I love Christmas and I love board games, so I was very happy to receive The Christmas Express Game*. This game is festive fun for the whole family. Board the Christmas Express and journey through a winter wonderland. There are hazards on the way such as snow storms, reindeers crossing and whatever you do, you need to avoid the naughty elf. Keep an eye out for Santa though as he can help you on your journey. The aim of the game is to be the first player to reach the North Pole. You can pick what character you want to play with choices including a snowman, reindeer or penguin. Depending on the cards you have in your hand you can move your character forward, move other players backwards or even make them miss turns or block them moving to the next station and if you are lucky you get the Santa card and it protects you from other players using their cards against you. This game is for 2 - 4 players, ages 6+. It comes with Chr...

*Tension The Top 10 Naming Game

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. The Family Edition of Tension* The Top 10 Naming Game is a fun filled game where you race against the clock to name 10 things for each topic. So you could have to think of 10 different things for a variety of topics such as Abba Hits, Pizza Toppings, Popular Dogs or James Bond Films. The catch is that you need to find the 10 things that are specifically listed on each card, so you just have to keep calling out as many examples as you can think of for each topic. Its super fun and its a frantic, exciting race to find all the answers on the card.  The was great fun to play with my family we loved it.                          Tension* is for 2 teams of players, ages 8+. The game includes Game Cards, Playing Board, Playing Counters, Card Scorer, Sand Timer and Rules. Tension* from Cheatwell Games costs £30 and is available  here .   Leigh 💜

*Cheatwell Games Travel Gabble

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. Now that its the summer holidays finding things to keep you or your kids happy without spending a fortune is key. Cheatwell Games Travel Gabble* is a fun game that requires 2 teams to play and is suitable for anyone age 12+. Its a quick fire game where you have to describe people, places and things which your team have to try and guess. Its a race against the clock to try and guess as many as possible. The more you describe the more you will score. Just slip a card out of the dispenser and then as people guess, you snap the little poppers on either side of the game to keep track. This is a perfect game to take anywhere - on holiday, airports, trains or just staying at home. It doesn't take up much room, is quick to set up and keeps you giggling throughout. Are you good at describing people or places under pressure? Try this game and find out. There's a timer included to keep you on your toes. This game is ...

*Cheatwell Travel Wild Guess Game

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. I think we can all agree that travelling can be boring and monotonous, especially on long journeys, so I do love a good travel game. Cheatwell Travel Wild Guess* is a game of facts and figures, where guessing the closest to an answer scores points. The aim is to have the most points after 20 guesses. Its just so simple. The facts and figures are weird and wonderful, so the chances of someone knowing the correct answer are slim, so its a fun guessing game. Here are some of the questions on 1 card: Approximate the number of million people that share your birthday (I guessed 22 million and the answer is 20 million - not a bad guess if I do say so myself) Length of Noah's Ark in metres (I guessed 100 metres and the answer is 144.6 metres - again not too far out) Year the dodo became extinct (I guessed 1875 and the answer is 1662 - I don't really know much history I have to say, so I was pretty far out on this one) Habit...

*Kikkerland Knot Game

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. The Knot Game* from Kikkerland is a fun game where players can learn how to tie over 20 different knots. This game is for ages 8+ and tests your skills and teaches you some new ones. The game tests how quickly you can tie various knots and comes with 21 knot cards which show picture instructions on how to tie different knots such as bowline, farmer's loop, or zeppelin bend knots (don't worry, I haven't heard of any of these either). It also comes with a carabiner so that you can attempt to tie knots such as a distel hitch, or a trucker's hitch. The game also comes with a rule card, a stick to tie a knot around, 2 ropes and a timer. This is the perfect little party game to test your ability to follow instructions whilst being timed. The game costs £13 and you can buy it from the RNLI shop which means that you are also supporting a great cause.   Leigh 💜

*Kikkerland Goat Yoga Party Game

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. Now I'm sure most of you have probably heard of Goat Yoga but I had never actually watched it on YouTube for some reason (and I watch a lot of YouTube). So when I was kindly sent the Kikkerland Goat Yoga Party Game* I went straight onto YouTube to see what all the fuss is about and I have to say I can see the appeal, although sadly I don't think its going to be offered near me any time soon. That being the case the Goat Yoga Party Game is the next best thing. So what is the Goat Yoga Party Game* I hear you ask? Well it is what it says on the tin (literally). You perform real yoga poses as well as completing ridiculous challenges with the inflatable goat (did I forget to mention there was an inflatable goat with this game). There are some benefits to not using a real live animal (I will leave that to your imagination). The challenges might be to do a Yoga pose while balancing the goat on your head or bat...

*Top It Game Review

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. Its that time of year again where its starting to get colder, the nights are drawing in and I am more than happy to stay wrapped up inside so this is the perfect time to get the games out. Top It* is a fast thinking family game which is fun to play as you compete to get the most points.  You race to place your cones on letter discs whilst calling out examples to different topics. Any other player can Top It with another answer and place their cone on top of yours if it starts with the same letter. Only the last cone counts and bags all the points for that letter.   It really is for fast thinking people. Trying to come up with answers fast isn't always easy but its fun to try and beat your friends and family.  Its one of those games that's fun for all the family and anyone can win.  Its fun to come up with the answers and try to win the game and even better when you can ...

*Christmas is Coming - Gift Ideas - Taskmaster The Board Game

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. Taskmaster The Board Game* is based on the hilarious Channel 4 comedy game show starring Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne. The premise of the show is that they set silly tasks for a bunch of well known comedians to complete and the results are often extremely amusing and sometimes very very messy. Well with this board game you get to replace the comedians or if you so choose become the Taskmaster in your very own home (or someone else's  might be preferable as things could get messy). The game consists of a game board, rules sheet, scoreboard playing pieces, perforated paper slips, Taskmaster trophy, 200 task cards and a wipe-clean pen. The game is suitable for 8 years+ and is for 3 - 5 players and it takes between 30-45 minutes to complete the game. The task cards are divided into 6 piles - kitchen tasks, living room tasks, lab tasks, garden tasks, final tasks & secret tasks and placed in the corresponding ...
