*The Hair Boss The Colour Enhancing Gloss & The Corrector Drops Product Review

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. I was kindly sent The Colour Enhancing Gloss & The Corrector Drops by the Hair Boss* to try out. I have already tried out some of the other products from this brand which I loved and you can read my reviews  here  and here . I was excited to try these products as I do colour my hair regularly.  The Colour Enhancing Gloss is semi-permanent and lasts up to 6 washes. The Gloss was Golden Balayage and it enhances beachy blonde tones. It is a treatment that adds soft, sun kissed colour whilst adding salon shine. The formula deposits a subtle colour while smoothing the cuticle of the hair and they recommend following this treatment with The Conditioning Milk (now renamed Conditioning Lotion - a sachet in included in the box) to seal in the shine and add moisture. To use this product, you simply shampoo your hair as normal and then after removing excess water, apply a generous amount of the Gloss, ensuring...

COLOUR:VIBE Silvers & Vibrance Hair Colour Review & Giveaway.

Image
I was really happy to receive some hair colour products from COLOUR:VIBE* recently as I love changing the colour of my hair.  I have dark brown hair with a few grey strands thrown in for good measure and usually stick to mahogany or chestnut brown semi-permanent colours.   I was sent a couple of colours from the Vibrance semi-permanent hair colour range* to try out - Fuchsia Bloom , Bright Violet and Silver Ray .   Each product can provide up to 10 applications depending on the length of your hair and will provide colour for up to 10 washes. They contain pure honey and marula oil which helps to keep your hair soft and shiny. They can be applied to bleached, previously coloured or natural hair and you can use the product to create a full head of colour or simply use it for an ombre look or even streaks,  Whatever you fancy really.  Obviously it works better on light coloured or bleached hair for a really vibrant look, but I wanted to see if it would giv...

Lazy Girls Guide to...... Covering Grey

Image
I'm terrible when it comes to colouring my hair.  I promise myself each time I colour my hair that I will keep on top of it and do it on a more regular basis so that my grey hair doesn't show, but I never do.  I don't have lots of grey hair just a steak on my parting that started in my twenties.  I'm not really bothered by it so there are times when it's on show as I really can't be bothered to colour my hair (I colour my hair at home not the salon).  Now when my grey starts peeking through I just fall back on the root concealer sprays that are readily available that cover my greys in less then a minute.  When they first came out I wasn't so keen as the first one I used as it just seemed to stain my scalp and seemed obvious I had used a root concealer spray, but nowadays they seem to work really well, take no more then a minute to spray on and last until you wash your hair.  At first I worried that it would run out of my hair if I got caught out in the rai...

Vidal Sassoon Salonist Permanent Hair Colour Review

Image
I recently used Vidal Sassoon Salonist to colour my hair and I have to say I am really impressed with this hair colour.    The unique thing about Vidal Sassoon Salonist is that it has a 2 step process. You apply the product to your roots first, leave for 20 minutes and then add a serum to the colourant and apply to your lengths and leave for another 10 minutes. Vidal Sassoon Salonist was relatively easy to apply to my roots, although I will admit that I did need help to apply it to the back of my head.    The rest of the application was easy and I can't believe it only took 10 minutes for the serum part of the application to take.  The instruction included with Vidal Sassoon Salonist could not be  clearer which was helpful. I love the fact that a brush is  included in order to help you paint your roots. This is a unique part of the product which I have never seen included with any other hair dye.  It's s...
