The Body Shop Refill Scheme

Image
I was browsing in The Body Shop looking for something to spend my £5 birthday reward on, when I came upon The Refill Station. This was totally new to me and its a wonderful idea.  The Refill Station at my local store had 6 different products that were available for refills.  There were 4 shower gels and then the Ginger shampoo and conditioner.  All you need to do is pick your product (I picked the Ginger Scalp Care Conditioner) and then ask a member of the Body Shop team to fill your aluminium bottle.  The bottle costs £2 on top of the cost of the product and then you can bring it back in the next time that you need a refill.  Its great value for money because 250ml of the Ginger Scalp Care conditioner usually costs £7.50, whereas 300ml of the refill costs just £6. Product availability varies from store to store (maybe according to local bestsellers?), so I am not going to list each of the products available at my store, and the prices of the products also varie...

Top 5 Favourite - Products

Image
Here's a quick post on my top 5 favourite products right now. I just love the smell of Philosophy Pumpkin Icing Shower Gel.  I'm not sure that it actually smells much like a pumpkin (I have no idea what one smells like), but this shower gel is sweet and sugary and comforting.  It is giving Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel a run for its money in my book.  It's £14. The Body Shop Moringa Body Spray is a fresh, floral fragrance and it's perfect to spray on at the start of the day as it's not overpowering.  It's £7.50 here Palmer's Olive Oil Formula Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner is a new find for me.  I started using it as shampoo is making my hair really knotty and frizzy at the moment.  This cleansing conditioner cleans my hair and also leaves it soft and shiny and easy to brush.  It's £5.99 here . My favourite evening perfume is Victoria's Secret Scandalous Eau de Parfum.  This is a dark, fruity, sexy scent and I just love the bottle with its b...

Glamour Magazine Nails Inc & The Body Shop Freebies December 2014 Issue

Image
I just picked up the December 2014 issue of Glamour Magazine which includes freebies from Nails Inc & The Body Shop.   There are 4 shades of Nail Inc nail polish to choose from.  I picked the dark red shade called Tate (there is also a nude, a dark purple and a burgundy colour available.   T here is a Little Card of Christmas Wishes from The Body Shop on page 101. This card is worth £3, £15, £100 or even £1000 to spend in The Body Shop. Take the card into The Body Shop to find out how much it's worth. The magazine also includes a discount card for 20% off H&M and a Pantene Pro-V Breakage Defence Conditioner sample.  Not bad considering that the magazine only costs £2.  I think I will pick up the other 3 shades of Nails Inc Polishes.  Let me know of any other magazine freebies that are out now. The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo Review

Image
This is not a glamorous post I have to say, but I suffer from the occasional bout of itchy scalp and I have to say The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo is a life saver.  It sooths my scalp instantly and it's a reasonable price too.  I always stock up at The Body Shop outlet shop where you get 40% off if you purchase 4 or more items. That makes the Ginger Shampoo a bargain price of £3.90 for 400ml (full price is £6.50). You can buy it here  (make sure you wait for a good offer like 40% or 50% off which happens pretty regularly). What's your favourite Body Shop product? I'm on holiday this week so I'm going to try and post every day. See you tomorrow. Leighlee I bought this with my own money

Glamour Magazine Nails Inc Freebies and The Body Shop Joy Cards

Image
I couldn't resist buying Decembers Glamour magazine when I found out that there were free Kate Spade Nails Inc nail polishes in 4 gorgeous colours and The Body Shop Joy cards worth at least £3, especially as the magazine only costs £2.  Ok, its not technically free as although I would normally buy 1 Glamour magazine I wouldn't buy 4, but its a free Nails Inc polish  for goodness sake  (which normally costs £11),  I cant be expected to resist that surely.  So yes, I did buy 4 magazines to get the 4 colours and I also got 4 £3 Joy cards to use in The Body Shop.  So all in all I felt like it was worth getting them.  The nail polish colours are fab and will be great to use for Christmas nights out. The colours are: Big Apple Red - A great bold bright red Uptown Glamour - A gorgeous metallic gold shimmer Soho Silver - A lovely metallic silver shimmer New York Noir - A dark black (I am impressed with this as it applies nicely in just 1 coat) ...
