Veganuary 2022 - Vegan Takeaways and Chocolate

Image
With it being Veganuary I decided to start the year by trying out a few vegan options (admittedly mainly fast food and snack options).  I didn't go full Vegan but I wanted to try out a few options to see what they were like.  There do seem to be a lot more vegan options around nowadays, its definitely moved on from the one option on a menu that it used to be. Subway Meatless Meatball Marinara Whenever I go to Subway one of the options I usually go for is the Meatball Marinara which I really like.  As its Veganuary I decided to try out the Meatless Meatball Marinara and I have to say I didn't really notice a difference in taste at all.  I would go as far as to say that next time I go to Subway I would pick the meatless version over the meat version.  Burger King Vegan Royal This looked identical to the Chicken Royal and to be honest I couldn't tell the difference in the taste.  Another one that I could easily replace the meat version with.   McDonalds McPlant Burger This was

Kiehl's Creme de Corps Nourishing Dry Body Oil Review

Image
I recently purchased Kiehl's Creme de Corps Nourishing Dry Body Oil when I received a £10 voucher from the Kiehl's recycling scheme which I wrote about here .  I was already a big fan of the original Creme de Corp Body Moisturiser and I also recently tried a sample of the Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter which is an amazing product as well, so it was a no brainer to try out the dry body oil from the same range. I bought the 75ml for £15.50 (although I only paid £5.50 as I used my £10 voucher). 175ml costs £35.50. The fragrance of vanilla and almond is up there with the famous Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum creams, it really is divine.  This oil comes in a spray bottle and is lightweight and hydrating and it doesn't leave any residue on your skin, as it absorbs pretty quickly. It contains apricot kernal oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, squalane, sesame seed oil and more and I have to tell you my skin loves it and it works so well in this cold weather as there

Aldi Lacura Elizabeth Arden Dupes - Miracle Oil & Miracle Cream

Image
I occasionally pop into my local Aldi to see what beauty product dupes they are selling (it was Drunk Elephant dupes last time I was there, although I didn't pick any products up that time).  My most recent Aldi purchases were the Lacura Miracle Oil Spray & Miracle Cream which are dupes of the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil and Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant.  Now these are both Elizabeth Arden products that I have purchased before and that I really liked, so I was interested in how similar these budget buys would be.  Please note that I am not going to compare the ingredients because I am way too lazy for that, I am just interested in how well they work and how they compare to the original products. The Aldi Lacura Miracle Oil costs £4.99 for 100ml, whereas the Elizabeth Arden version costs £29 for 100ml. Its a nice light oil, that sinks into the skin pretty quickly and does not feel greasy at all. It doesn't really have any fragrance.  Now I don&#

Bargains - The Inkey List at Home Bargains

Image
Hi everyone.  I just wanted to do a really quick post to show you my first bargain of the year.  I picked up these The Inkey List hair products from Home Bargains for £1.49 a piece.  I have tried The Inkey List skincare products which are great for the price, so I thought I would give their hair products a try. Caffeine Stimulating Scalp Treatment (hair loss reduction serum) - 50ml (usually costs £14.99 for 150ml) Chai Seed Curl Defining Hair Treatment (curl enhancing cream) - 50ml (usually costs £7.99 for 50ml) Shea Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment (conditioning oil) - 50ml (usually costs £9.99 for 50ml) Amino Acid Anti-Gray Scalp Treatment - (anti-gray serum) - 50ml (usually costs £14.99 for 50ml) Hyaluronic Acid Hydration Hair Treatment (not pictured - frizz control serum) - 50ml (usually costs £9.99). These products are suitable for all hair types and since I have thinning hair around my hairline, curly frizzy hair which is dry and brittle and patches of grey, these products are al

Aldi Bath & Body Works Dupes - Foaming Hand Wash, Shower Gel & Hand Cream

Image
When I heard that Aldi were selling products that are dupes for Bath & Body Works (B&BW) I raced down there to see what I could find. On the first occasion that I visited, I couldn't find anything that resembled B&BW, so left empty handed, but since I live within walking distance of Aldi (although I rarely actually shop there) I visited again and managed to find the products that I was looking for. I picked up Foaming Hand Wash (250ml) and Shower Gel (400ml) in the scents Winter Candy Apple, Winter Cookies & Ginger Bread Latte for £1.99 each and I also bought the Winter Candy Apple Hand Cream (100ml) for £1.79. The packaging does resemble B&BW a little bit, but most importantly how do they smell? First of all I should say that I am a massive fan of B&BW and I always stock up when in America (you can now buy a limited range in Next) and I also source some of my favourite products from a Facebook page ( Bath & Body Works Fans UK ) which I will continue

& Other Stories - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Dupe

Image
Sol de Janeiro's famous Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is one of my absolute favourite products ever, I just adore the scent (you can find my thoughts on the products from this brand here, here and here ). Unfortunately, as it is a rather pricey product at £44 for 240ml, it's a treat for me rather than a regular purchase, so I was intrigued to hear about a dupe for the scent sold by & Other Stories.  & Other Stories is one of my favourite stores and I have bought lots of jewellery from them as they sell really nice pieces at reasonable prices. They sell a range of products called Perle de Coco which I was informed smelled exactly like Brazilian Bum Bum cream (lets call it BBBC from now on) and it's much cheaper. Of course I had to go investigate at my nearest store and I picked up a couple of products to try out. First was the Perle de Coco Body Lotion which costs £8 for 350ml. As it's a body lotion rather than a cream, it is not as thick, rich and creamy as BBBC,
