Boxing Day Sale Haul

Image
I usually get up early on Boxing Day to check out the sales (not Next opening time early that's cray cray) but last year I didn't rate the sales that much and did most of my shopping online.  This year I did put my alarm on but to be honest I couldn't be bothered to get up I just wanted to stay in bed.  I went out for lunch and and on my way home decided to drop into Leeds to check out the sales around about 3pm hoping it would be a bit quieter.  I don't think I went too overboard although I did buy more than I expected.  Here's what I got. I bought the Aromatherapy Associates Ultimate Wellbeing Time which has 10 x 9ml bottles of bath and shower oil.  This was originally £60 reduced to £30 and I had £20 in indulge points so it cost me £10. I did try to place an order from Boots online, but their website was such a nightmare I would get everything in my basket and then go to the next page and lose everything it just wasn't worth it.  When will company

Disneyland Paris Trip Report - Day 1 Travel Day

Image
I recently went to Disneyland Paris (DLP) for a few days, which I really enjoyed.  Here's Day 1 of my trip report.   We travelled down to London a couple of nights before heading to DLP and stayed for 2 nights in the Premier Inn St Pancras, which is just across the road from St Pancras Train Station where the Eurostar departs.  This location was really convenient, the rooms were basic but nice and the staff friendly and helpful.  We were unfortunately given a room which was the furthest away from the lifts so we had a bit of a trek with the suitcases.  This became a reoccurring theme on this holiday for some reason. I thought this one was bad until I got to DLP but more about that later.  W e didn't have to get up too early the morning we were travelling to Paris, so I think we were up around 8am.  The Eurostar was due to depart at 10.14am so we headed over to St Pancras around 8.40am.  Check in didn't open until 9am so I wondered over to M&S for some food while my

Disneyland Paris Haul

Image
I recently visited Disneyland Paris for a few days and thought I would share what I picked up while I was there. I loved this Alice in Wonderland Cup.  I thought it was so cool that it looks like 3 cups stacked together, but on the inside it's just one cup.  I will be using this plenty of times in winter for my hot chocolate.  This cost €12.99 which is admittedly more then I would normally spend on a cup but it was the last day of my holiday and I had a few spare euros that I didn't want to take back home.  I loved these 2 glasses with the black and white Mickey print so I couldn't resist getting 2.  They were €3.99 each or you could get 4 for €12 which was a good deal, but I thought my chances of getting all this breakable stuff back home in one piece was unlikely so I didn't want to get anything unnecessarily. This next one is the front and back of my shot glass.  I like to have shot glasses for my Baileys (classy I know) and found this one for €3.99.  I lo

Cult Beauty Haul

Image
I recently took advantage of a great offer from Cult Beauty to receive a goody bag worth £300 when you spend £165.  I always save any of my big purchases in order to take advantage of these offers as the goody bag gives me an opportunity to try out loads of products that I wouldn't normally buy.  I don't have a photo of the goody bag, but it did contain products from HUDA Beauty, Tata Harper, The Ordinary, Pixi and Indie Lee to name a few.  I also received a £15 gift card in the goody bag which I have already used. I found it so easy to spend the required amount although most of the products from The Ordinary and the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick were all out of stock which was disappointing.  In the end I bought products that I have been wanting to try for ages. I have been desperate to try out the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream as I have heard so many good things about it.  I also wanted to try out some other products from the range so I picked up t

Challenges for 2017 - Update

I have fallen a little behind on my challenges as I wanted to complete 1 a month, but so far I am only on challenge 7.  You can read my last update here .  I have had builders working on my house for over 2 months, which has meant that things have had to be moved around while they work and it's been hard to keep track of where everything is.  Everything is back to normal now, so I wanted to update you on which challenges I have completed and some new challenges. Challenge 4 - Completed This was to read 10 books which I have managed to do and have actually carried on with this one and so far I've read 14 this year.  I don't think I've read that many books in so long I think I read about 2 or 3 last year in total.  I have realised from this challenge that I love to read so it's something I am going to make time for going forward.  I think one of the things that helped is that when the builders were here they managed to knock the sky satellite dish and we lost t
