Aldi Lacura 100% Vegan Deodorant Review

Image
Aldi is fast becoming one of my favourite places to stock up on everyday toiletries.  I do prefer a stick deodorant, so I picked up these 3 100% vegan Lacura deodorants from Aldi. They are aluminium, alcohol and dye free and 90% naturally derived.  They cost £2.99 each for 50g & the packaging is recyclable. There are 3 varieties - Coconut & Vanilla which has a lovely rich creamy scent, Mango for those who like a fruity fragrance and Cucumber & mint which strangely has a more masculine aftershave vibe. They all contain a blend of naturally derived shea butter, coconut oil and sunflower seed oil. These deodorants help to neutralise odour and condition the skin to keep you fresh all day. I thought they worked really well and also kept my armpits nicely moisturised. Not bad for the price. Leigh 💜 I purchased this product with my own money

Natural Deodorant Reviews

Image
I have been meaning to try out more natural deodorants for a while and I am happy to report that all the deodorants I have tried have worked very well and I will be continuing to  use them in the future rather than the sprays that I have relied on in the past.  The deodorants that I am reviewing below were all purchased by me. Natural deodorants do not necessarily stop you from sweating, they are more about keeping you fresh and odour free, but I haven't felt like a sweaty betty when I have been using these products I am happy to report. Lush Aromaco Solid Deodorant  costs £7.00 for 100g which is a nice chunky block.  This product uses antibacterial witch hazel and soothing camomile vinegar and it's very easy to use by rubbing it on clean, dry armpits.  It doesn't leave a residue on your skin or mark you clothes and I haven't had sweating/odour issues when I have been using it.  I think this product will last ages and the only worry I have is whether it wil...

I am getting into natural deodorants at the moment and when I saw an offer pop up on Facebook for a free mini deodorant trial pack from We Are Wild I decided to give it a try.  Wild offers sustainable, natural deodorants delivered straight to your door. Its aluminium free, with compostable, plastic free refills and is vegan friendly and cruelty free. The trial pack contains 3 mini Wild deodorants (18g each) in Coconut & Vanilla, Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt and Jasmine & Mandarin Blossom and is worth £12. Walden Natural Perfume A Little Star-Dust

Image
I was lucky enough to win this lovely Walden A Little Star-Dust natural perfume a while back on a blog giveaway run by the lovely Sandra over at Beauty Balm (definitely check this blog out if you love natural products).  A Little Star-Dust is a wonderful blend of Ylang Ylang, Iris and Jasmine with a touch of Amyris and Tonka Bean. The result on my skin is a sweet, creamy smoky scent that is perfect for summer evenings.  It lasts a good couple of hours on my skin, which is about normal for me. Walden Natural Perfume (named for Henry David Thoreau's book 'Walden') make their fragrances by hand in small batches using 100% natural ingredients. The  15ml  eau de parfum costs £18 and the  50ml costs £40. If you sign up to the Walden Perfumes newsletter you can get 30% off your first order.  You can also buy Walden Perfume from Love Lula . This is my first experience with a natural perfume and it won't be my last.         ...

What Skin Needs Hydrating Facial Serum Review

Image
I have been trying out What Skin Needs Hydrating Facial Serum * for a few weeks now and I am really enjoying using it.  What Skin Needs is a company I hadn't heard of before.  It's a natural Australian Skincare brand designed to provide effective solutions for skin problems.  It uses a natural blend of vitamins and plant extracts providing beneficial and effective skincare solutions.  The key ingredient in What Skin Needs is Plantolin which is a patented herbal extract that heals and rejuvenates the skin.  What Skin Needs currently offers 4 products and I was lucky enough to be sent the Hydrating Facial Serum to try out.  The description on the website is below: A perfect blend of vitamins and plant extracts to create a light, non-greasy formula combined together to create an easily absorbed facial serum with superior hydrating and skin cell renewal properties. The potent formula penetrates the skins deeper layers leaving you with hea...

Vita CoCo Coconut Oil Review

Image
I have heard so many good things about coconut oil and it's uses, but have never actually tried it, so I was happy to receive the Vita CoCo Coconut Oil* to try out.   Coconut oil is great as it has numerous uses and does not contain any nasties. So far I have used it to cleanse my face which works really well.  I just scoop some of the hardened oil out off the tub and melt it in my hands before applying it to my face.  I then use a cleansing cloth to wipe it off.  It removes a good deal of my makeup and I just need some eye makeup remover to remove the last little bits of my mascara.  At first I thought it might be difficult to use for beauty related things as it's hard in the tub (unless you live in a warm environment where it would melt), but it was incredibly easy to melt in my hands and it's not messy at all.   It obviously smells of coconut which always reminds me of summer holidays and is much nicer than the strong fragrances of some c...

Youth To The People Kale + Green Spinach Vitamins Age Prevention Cleanser Review

Image
I came across the brand Youth To The People  when I bought a beauty box from A Beautiful World .   Included in the box was the Kale + Green Spinach Vitamins Age Prevention Cleanser and I really like it.  Now it’s not cheap and I don’t usually spend over £30 for a cleanser, but this Kale + Green Tea cleanser lasts ages as you only need to apply a little bit of product every time you cleanse.  It's £34 (yikes) for 8oz (approx 237ml).  What I like about this cleanser is that it's packed full of antioxidant ingredients like kale, spinach and green tea and it protects you from free radicals and environmental stresses.  Just apply a small amount to your damp face and it creates a slight lather that cleanses the dirt and toxins from your pores.  It has a very light fresh scent and once you rinse it off it does not leave your skin feeling tight and dry. The Kale + Green Spinach Vitamins Age Prevention Cleanser is made from 100% vegan i...
