I thought I would share my recent L'Occitane haul.  I found a great voucher through facebook for a free gift and went in to collect it.   The free gift is the box in the photo below which is a lovely little set which includes the following: Cherry Blossom Hand Cream 10ml Dry Skin Foot Cream 10ml Verbena Shower Gel & Body Lotion both 30ml Soap with Verbena Leaves - 25g A little sachet of grow your own lavender I think that it's a really great little box especially as it was free.  The gift set also included a voucher for £10 off when you spend £25 or more.  Well I couldn't say no to that. Before I decided what I wanted to buy I was offered a hand and arm massage.  It was a really great massage and the products used were very nice. It was all very relaxing and a very nice treat. Don't you just hate it when you can't squeeze everything out of a tube of beauty product.  You end up in all kinds of shapes trying to force the last bit out (it's not just me is it?) or asking someone to try and squeeze the last bit onto your hands.  I could cut the end off but I just don't want to as it ends up messy and going everywhere.   Well I found the answer to my prayers (well for metal tubes anyway).  I went to a beauty event at L'Occitane last year which I really enjoyed and as I was browsing around the store I noticed The Magic Key.   You just put the end of the tube in between the 2 metal prongs and twist. It's that easy.  I've used it on a couple of tubes - Jurlique Hand Cream and Davines Authentic Moisturising Balm and it got every last drop out (maybe not every drop but pretty much everything).  There would be no point in cutting the tube as there's not going to be much left to get out after using the Magic Key.  It onl...

There is a L'Occitane Voucher in  the November 2014 issue of Marie Claire Magazine (with Kate Winslet on the front cover).   The coupon entitles you to a free Hugs & Kisses set with any purchase.  There is no minimum spend and the cheapest item that I saw instore were soaps that cost £4.50.  The Hugs and Kisses set includes a full size hand cream and lip balm which is worth £16.   I purchased a Delightful Rose Hand Cream that cost £6 (usual price is £8) and I picked the Shea Butter Hugs & Kisses for free.  I also received a couple of sample sachets as well - the Amande Milk Concentrate and the Repairing Shampoo for dry and damaged hair. This is a great offer and it is also available online, but you would also have to pay for postage if you made the purchase online. I went to my first shopping event at L’Occitane last week which was organised by Instyle Magazine. It cost £10 for a ticket and there was a free goodie bag and a 15% discount on skincare available for those who attended. There were also treatments and snacks available.   I arrived at the store just after 6.30pm to be greeted by a staff member who explained what would be happening. I then went downstairs to the main shopping area to check out some of the products. There were about 12 people there in total and there was a group of people already sitting down near the treatment area, so I browsed around the store and was offered a glass of champagne which I happily accepted. I have just received the May 2014 issue of InStyle magazine and there are a couple of freebies worth mentioning.  There is a voucher in the magazine to pick up a free L'Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate worth £11.  You can pick it up at your nearest L'Occitane Boutique before 30 April 2014 while stocks last. In next months magazine  they are giving away Nails Inc nail polishes worth £11 each.  The Brazil Collection includes 3 limited edition shades - Sugarloaf Sunset is a bubblegum pink, Sao Paulo Streets is a pale neutral colour and Copacabana Coral is a dark coral colour.  I am seriously tempted to buy 3 magazines to pick up each colour. I was so excited to receive the BBB Beauty Box II, I even answered the door to the postman in my pj's and unbrushed, frizzy hair (how attractive), as I didn't want to risk missing the delivery.   This is how beauty boxes should be, a mix of brands that you have heard of and are excited to try out, and some new brands that give you a chance to try new products and who knows maybe even find a HG item.  I love a box that is not afraid to let you know whats inside before you buy.  That's the sign of confidence in their product and the fact that they all sold out in 1 morning shows how popular these boxes are (I think 750 boxes were available in total).  The box cost £22 + £5.95 P&P but the value of the box is approximately £150, which I think is an absolute bargain.
