Empties August 2017

Image
Here are the products that I have managed to finish in the last few months.  You can read my last empties post here . Phyto Phytolisse Perfecting Smoothing Shampoo - didn't do much for my curly hair. Elemis Frangipani Monoi Bath & Shower Nectar - this was nice and I would buy it again if there is another QVC TSV. Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray - It's quite expensive for a face mist, but I love moisture surge products so I would probably buy this again as it left my face feeling hydrated. Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Leave-In Conditioner - I love Shea Moisture products as they are great for my curly hair.  I wrote a review of this product here . First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads - Didn't have any noticeable effect on my skin. Vivienne Westwood Naughty Alice Velvet Body Veil - I love the perfume, so I would happily get this again if it came in a set. Skin Republic Collagen Infusion Face Mask Sheet -

Sockshop Beautyfeet Heel Pad Socks Review

Image
I have been trying out the Sockshop Beautyfeet Heel Pad Socks * recently.  I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks now so it's time to let you know how I got on. Sockshop Beautyfeet Heel Pad Socks are great to use on hard, dry and rough heels.  They have an integrated nourishing pad in each sock containing a secret, patented formula with advanced moisturising ingredients, a Chinese herbal recipe, and Nano-Silver, an antibacterial particle technology. You wear them daily to help care for and nourish your dry heels. It recommends using them for 8 hours a day, for at least 14 days.  You should start to see results after one day. I tend to wear these socks at night but they can be worn through the day as well.   I have very dry heels as I often wear footwear such as Sketchers and Toms that don't need socks and it does dry out my heels.  I do have lotions and potions but more often then not I do forget to apply them.  Just having to pull on a pair of socks at night is

Da'Dude Da'Hair Spray Review

Image
I was very kindly sent Da'Dude Da'Hair Spray * to try out.  I am always on the look out for great hair products as I have unruly curly hair that is hard to tame.   Da'Dude Da'Hair Spray is described as having an extra strong matte finish with long lasting hold which comes in a premium class gift box.  It recommends building up the hold gradually by spraying in a sweeping motion then waiting 20 seconds before spraying again.  I generally wear my hair up to work so like to use hair spray to make sure that I don't have strands of flyaway hair throughout the day and this was great for that.  When I go out on an evening I like to wear my hair down but worry about my hair getting frizzy and I found this hair spray to have just the right level of hold to keep my curls in place without getting crispy hair (all you curly haired girls out there know what I mean).  It has a matte finish which I liked and I didn't get any flakes in my hair when I used it.  It was also

Superdrug Revlon Lip Offer

Image
I just wanted to let you know about a great offer in Superdrug at the moment.  Revlon lip products are all £5.99 at the moment and there is also a 3 for 2 offer on as well.  I bought 3 Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipcolors which normally retail at £7.99 each.  They should have cost £23.97, but with these 2 offers they only cost £11.98 which is an absolute bargain as that's half price. I bought 3 colours - Desert, Coral & Vineyard and I love them all.  They are very creamy and easy to apply. From left to right: HD Desert, HD Coral & HD Vineyard It's definitely a good time to stock up on Revlon lip products at Superdrug right now. Leigh I bought these products with my own money

Aldi Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask Review

Image
I recently picked up the Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask from Aldi which I had heard was a good dupe for a Glamglow mask.  I love the packaging which is silver with black and turquoise writing.  It is only £5.99 for 50ml, but the packaging makes it look like a more expensive product.     The important thing though is it a good product?  I can honest say I really liked it.  It is a clay product that is easy to apply.  It did make my face tingle when I first applied it, but it soon calmed down.  It's not recommended for sensitive skin though.  You can leave it on for 5-10 minutes  (I left it on for 10 minutes) and then  remove it with warm water.  After removing the mask my skin felt clean and smooth without feeling tight.  You can use it 1-2 times a week. The Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask from Aldi  is a clay mask which has extracts of green tea, witch hazel (to soothe skin) and red algae.  It also contains walnut shell which is very fine so doesn't feel harsh on the skin.
