*Sustainable Products - The Humble Co. Dental Products Review

*I received these products for free but the opinions are my own.

I was kindly sent a selection of The Humble Co. Products* to review recently.  The Humble Co. is one of my go to brands for sustainable dental products and you can read one of my other reviews here
The Humble Co. Dental Products Review
The Humble Brush Bamboo Toothbrush* has a handle made from 100% biodegradable, sustainably grown bamboo (the fastest growing plant on earth) which can be disposed of in your composting bin.  The packaging is 100% recyclable.    I like to use these toothbrushes when I'm travelling as usually I buy a plastic toothbrush that I throw away at the end of my holiday. This is a great alternative and I feel good knowing I can recycle it after I have finished using it.

A scary statistic which is included on the box the toothbrush comes in is that 3.6 billion plastic toothbrushes are produced every year and the majority of these end up in oceans and landfills. I am a big believer in recycling and have been doing it since I was young. Anything I can do to prevent more plastic ending up in the ocean can only be a good thing.

Humble Brush Toothbrushes can be purchased at Holland and Barrett for £3.99.

The Humble Interdental Brushes* come in 6 different sizes which is great if like me you have some teeth that are really close together with a barely there gap and others that have a bigger gap and are very prone to getting food stuck between them and can be quite painful. The brushes have handles made from 100% biodegradable, sustainably grown bamboo like the toothbrush above. The BPA-free little brushes are great for removing the small food particles between your teeth. The pack contains 8 brushes and costs £3.99 at Holland and Barrett.

The Humble Co. Floss Picks* are made using Plant Based Materials. 2-in-1 with mint flavour  & twin floss.  This product has a handle made of a mix of plant based materials and Polypropylene (PP).  The thread is made out of Polyethylene (PE) flavoured for fresh and minty breath.  Its safe and certified Vegan and verified Bisphenol A (BPA) free.  Its a handy product to use before brushing your teeth to remove food debris and bacteria from in-between the teeth to prevent bad breath and gum disease. This product is available directly on The Humble Co. website for EUR3.99 here. One box contains 50 floss picks.

The Humble Co. Dental Floss* comes in a variety of flavours - Mint, lemon and cinnamon and also has a charcoal version as well. It can be purchased from Holland and Barrett for £3.50 or from The Humble Co for €3.99. It is eco-friendly and socially responsible as it has eliminated the need for a plastic case as the packaging it comes in becomes the floss dispenser which is great. It is 50 metres long.

There is as many as 700 million plastic floss containers discarded each year so any change in our habits, however small, can start making a difference if we all do it.

The Humble Co. was established in 2013 and is based in Sweden. This company was founded by a dentist to design and develop eco-friendly dental products which offer an alternative to the regular plastic products that most of us use. Every Humble purchase goes towards funding projects for the benefit of children in need. You can read more about the company's philosophy here.
