My New Favourite Foundation Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin

I am constantly on the lookout for the perfect foundation and I really think I might have found it. I have dry skin and no matter how well I prep my skin, I find that many foundations just instantly make my skin look dry and patchy. Charlotte Tilburys Beautiful Skin Foundation is perfect for me. I like a light coverage, with a bit of a glow or dewy finish and I found that this foundation hits the spot and leaves me looking radiant and hydrated. I was matched in store and bought 3 Neutral which is the perfect shade. The makeup artists at the Harvey Nichols store in Leeds are always lovely to deal with and never give you the hard sell or rush you into buying anything. They are all very approachable and great to deal with.

Charlotte Tilburys Beautiful Skin Foundation

This foundation gives me a "your skin but better" look which I love.  I want my skin to show through and I'm just looking to hide some redness in my skin and even up my skin tone. This foundation is easy to apply (I used a Real Techniques foundation brush) and I applied it over the Charlotte Tilbury Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer (review to follow) which works really well with this foundation. It contains hyaluronic acid which is great as I like a foundation with skincare properties. Overall if you are looking for a hydrated, glowy finish then this foundation is the one for you as there are no dry patches in sight. Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation costs £39.00 for 30ml.

**Reposted as the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer is  currently reduced to £2.50 from £4.50. I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources. Red Light - Use for Anti-Aging benefits by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Blue Light - Helps to remove acne causing bacteria and reduce skin  inflammation Yellow Light - Helps to improve rough skin, reduces appearance of wrinkles and skin redness To use you cleanse your face and apply soothing and hydrating products.  You can use with face cream, eye cream, facial mask, eye mask, essence, toner etc.  Press the button for 2 seconds to turn on and press again until the LED light that you want to use appears.  You then use it for 10-20 minutes.  It does advise that in case of sensitivity to use with your eyes closed.  After use switch

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer Review - Bobbi Brown Dupe

I managed to get my hands on the newly released Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi which is supposed to be a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. It costs £5.99 for 50ml whereas the Bobbi Brown product costs £48.50 for 50ml. That's a big difference especially at times like these when every penny counts. The big question - is it any good? I actually really enjoyed using this primer. I have dry skin and this thick creamy primer really suited my skin. It contains vitamin c, vitamin b, vitamin e, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate & geranium oil and I found it very hydrating on my skin and it provided a great base for my makeup. My makeup stayed on all day and didn't go patchy or dry. It also has a fresh grapefruit and geranium scent which is really refreshing, but don't worry its not an overpowering smell.
