Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser

Image
It really is very rare for me to repurchase beauty products, simply because there are always so many new products on the market that I want to try. When I do repurchase a product then I know its a good one. I recently repurchased  Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser , because I really enjoy using it. Its been out of stock for quite a while so I was happy that I managed to snap up the last one on a recent visit to Harvey Nichols as I really don't want to be without this product.  I don't usually use bronzers as I find they just make my face look dirty, but this product works a treat. I just apply it over moisturiser and SPF ( Charlotte Tilbury Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer  SPF 50 is a good one) and this product gives me a lovely all over glow. Its not too dark or orange, it basically does what it says on the tin and leaves me with a healthy glow which is just what I am looking for. I usually wear this on its own for the daytime and i...

Birthday Freebies - Boots and Paperchase

Image
Its always worth signing up for brands loyalty clubs as they often give you a freebie on your birthday.  I have a Boots Advantage Card and I was sent a Birthday offer which let me choose anything up to £10 from their No7 range.    Never one to miss out on a freebie I picked up No 7 Essential Moisture Night Cream which cost £9.95.  This is the first Birthday Gift I have received from Boots Advantage so I'm not sure if its something new but definitely something worth looking out for.  I did get this offer through the Boots App so think you have to use the App to get the offer. Another Birthday gift I received was from Paperchase Treat Me Loyalty Card where you receive a £5 gift voucher to spend in store or online with no minimum spend.  I bought this 2023 Diary which was £6 so only cost me £1.  Its something I need so its great to get money off just for having a Birthday. Its definitely worth signing up for Loyalty cards that offer Birthday gifts....

Primark Sleep Microfibre Towel Pillow Cover

Image
As usual when I am browsing in Primark I always come away with items that I didn't know I needed.  Primark's Sleep Microfibre Towel Pillow Cover is one of those items.   Have I mentioned that I have dry, frizzy, curly hair before (probably many times).  So when I wash my hair I tend to let it air dry rather than blow dry it, so if I wash my hair on an evening it can still be damp when I go to bed so this pillow cover is ideal.   The fabric is soft and absorbent and is gentle on hair, helps minimise drying time while you sleep and helps protect hair against tangles and breakages.  There is also a waterproof lining which helps protect your pillow from getting wet. It works really well and costs £4.50 for one pillow cover.  My only complaint is that I would love it if it came in more colours then just pink. Leigh 💜 I purchased this product with my own money

Aldi Dr PawPaw Original Balm Dupe

Image
The Aldi Lacura PawPaw + Macadamia Nut Oil Multipurpose Soothing Ointment is very obviously a dupe for Dr PawPaw Original Balm which I already own so I was interested in comparing the two products. The Aldi product costs £1.49 for 25g. Its a very thick balm which has a really nice nutty fragrance. It can be used to help relieve skin dryness, help with the itchiness of insect bites and for smoothing brows and baby hairs. In all honesty I just used it as a lip balm and on my very dry elbows. I doesn't have the best taste, but it works well. The Dr PawPaw Original Balm costs £3.95 for 10ml and again has a wide variety of uses including relief of dry irritated skin, moisturise lips, nails, cuticles and dry cracked skin such as hands, heels and elbows. This product has an angled applicator whereas the Aldi one is just flat. Its not as thick and has no fragrance or taste. Overall, I think I prefer the Dr PawPaw balm to the Aldi version as I find Dr PawPaw to be more moisturising and hydr...
