Kiehl's Family Rewards
I thought I would do a quick post on Kiehl's Family Rewards which I signed up for recently.  I've always loved Kiehl's it has some great products. If you like Kiehl's products then it's definitely worth signing up.  It's a free rewards program that has exclusive offers and complimentary treats, and lets you earn points that you can build up to receive vouchers that you can use in store or online.  Once you have signed up you get the following benefits:

  • Free UK delivery with no minimum spend
  • A birthday treat
  • Free voucher for £10 or £15 when you have built up 120 points depending on what level you are (there are 3 different levels)
  • Recycle & rewarded points.  Earn 15 points for each empty item you return to the store
  • 4 complimentary consultations per year where you can earn 20 points per consultation
  • Refer up to 10 friends a year and earn 50 points per referral
  • Access to Friends and Family Sale
  • There are 3 tiers depending on how many points you have earned.  If you are in one of the top 2 tiers you gain early access to private sales and new launches and also points offers.  
  • If you are in the top tier you get a tier achievement gift (which is a full size gift (although I haven't earned enough points for this) and private events
  • Earn 1 point per £1 spent
You also get 3 free samples with every order (you don't have to be registered for the family rewards for this one).  There are quite a few samples to choose from and the ones I picked with my first order are picture below.

If all that is not enough when I signed up and made my first purchase (prices for Kiehl's start from around £10) I also received a Welcome Gift which included 5 samples including deluxe samples (please note I'm not sure this is still on offer when you sign up and make a purchase as there are different offers at different times so you may not get a free gift when making your first purchase).  The welcome gift I received contained the following:

  • Facial Fuel Energising Face Wash for Men 30ml 
  • Ultra Facial Cream 7ml (one of my favourite moisturisers)

I think this reward program is worth joining even if it's just to get the free delivery for any online order but with all the things above its a great reward program and points can soon add up.  I haven't tried out the recycling service or the consultation yet but when I do I will do an update post.

**Reposted as the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer is  currently reduced to £2.50 from £4.50. I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. For the price I was expecting to love it way more than I did. Primark LED Light Mask Review

I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources. Red Light - Use for Anti-Aging benefits by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Blue Light - Helps to remove acne causing bacteria and reduce skin  inflammation Yellow Light - Helps to improve rough skin, reduces appearance of wrinkles and skin redness To use you cleanse your face and apply soothing and hydrating products.  You can use with face cream, eye cream, facial mask, eye mask, essence, toner etc.  Press the button for 2 seconds to turn on and press again until the LED light that you want to use appears.  You then use it for 10-20 minutes.  It does advise that in case of sensitivity to use with your eyes closed.  After use switch

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer Review - Bobbi Brown Dupe

I managed to get my hands on the newly released Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi which is supposed to be a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. It costs £5.99 for 50ml whereas the Bobbi Brown product costs £48.50 for 50ml. That's a big difference especially at times like these when every penny counts. The big question - is it any good? I actually really enjoyed using this primer. I have dry skin and this thick creamy primer really suited my skin. It contains vitamin c, vitamin b, vitamin e, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate & geranium oil and I found it very hydrating on my skin and it provided a great base for my makeup. My makeup stayed on all day and didn't go patchy or dry. It also has a fresh grapefruit and geranium scent which is really refreshing, but don't worry its not an overpowering smell.
