Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper in Tan Lines & Skinny Dip

Image
I recently posted about my Cult Beauty Haul here and I wanted to review a couple of the products that I purchased.  I first heard about Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper in Tan Lines & Skinny Dip when watching a You Tube haul (unfortunately I forgot whose channel it was on) and I knew that I had to get my hands on them.  The Jouer Long-Wear Lip Toppers contain coconut oil, so they feel moisturising and hydrating, but they also smell amazing, really sweet like caramel.  The lip topper is very light weight and can be worn on it's own or over the top of any lipstick to add some shimmer.  It's paraben free and not tested on animals. Left to right: Tan Lines, Skinny Dip Tan Lines is a sparkly bronze shade.  It feels really smooth on the lip and it's not sticky.  I love wearing this shade on it's own, but it also works well over most lipsticks to give them a bit more oomph.  On it's own it lasted about an hour before I needed to reapply. Top Skinny Dip, bott

Cult Beauty Haul & Goody Bag

Image
I recently placed an order with Cult Beauty, because they were offering a free goody bag worth over £200 when you spent £110.  I don't know about you, but I always keep a wish list going for occasions such as this, as it's great to buy things that you want and get loads of free products in the process.  Cult beauty sells some amazing brands like Charlotte Tilbury and Anastasia Beverly Hills, there's so many products to choose from.  Here's what I bought: First of all I bought 2 Jouer Long Wear Lip Toppers (£13.50 each).  These were very recent additions to my wish list as I had only come across them the week before on a YouTube video.  They looked so pretty that I could not help but add them to my shopping bag.  I got Tan Lines (a shimmery bronze colour) and Skinny Dip (a pale shimmery gold colour). They both contain coconut oil and they refresh and add shimmer to your favourite lip colour or you can wear them on their own.  They are paraben free and not tested on

Trilogy Cream Cleanser, Vital Moisturising Cream & Everything Balm

Image
I was happy to receive a little package of Trilogy Products all the way from New Zealand to try out.  I have used the Trilogy Rosehip Oil in the past, which I really liked.  I received the Trilogy Rosehip Cream Cleanser*, the Trilogy Rosehip Vital Moisturising Cream* and the Trilogy Everything Balm*.  I really enjoyed using all 3 products as they are very gentle on the skin.  New Zealand sisters Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot founded Trilogy in 2002 after discovering the benefits of Rosehip Oil and now offer a range of 40 natural skincare products using Rosehip Oil.  The products are available to buy in 20 countries around the world and the range is currently the No1 skincare range in New Zealand.  You can read about all the benefits of Rosehip Oil here . Trilogy is a cruelty free skincare brand and they are against animal testing. The Trilogy Cream Cleanser* is rich and creamy and contains rosehip, evening primrose and carrot.  It is easy to massage onto the face,

Nail Polish Storage

Image
You know you have too many nail polishes when your stash looks like this (and there are still some hidden away on top of my wardrobe!!!). I thought it was time that I bought some nice storage boxes so that my polishes don't look so messy.  I looked on ebay and Amazon and found some great options but in the end decided this was exactly what I was looking for. It fits in 48 bottles of nail polish, 24 on each side.  This does include 3 adjustable sections for smaller bottles.  The sections are too small for Ciate nail polishes unfortunately but I've not come across any other polishes that don't fit.  It costs £21.99 per box which admittedly is not cheap when you need to get at least another 3 boxes (the shame!!!!) but I have decided that I will only buy them when I have saved up enough vouchers from the online surveys I complete (see my post about surveys here ). Let me know about any great storage containers that you have found for your beauty stash. Leigh

Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes

Image
I was definitely intrigued when I came across Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes.  Why the intrigue?  Well I have never come across black face wipes before.  I have only ever used plain old white facial wipes.  Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes claim to detoxify and deep clean the skin.  They are formulated without parabens, SLS and silicones and they contain 95% natural ingredients.  Is there any difference to my normal facial wipes?  Not really although you can see all the dead skin that comes off your face, which you would not normally see on white facial wipes.  I don't advocate using facial wipes as your main daily cleanser, but they definitely have a place in my life for when I am travelling, in a rush or just being plain old lazy.  Facial wipes are definitely better than using nothing at all.  Would I use them again?  For sure, I like a good gimmick and they work as well as other wipes.  I actually like the Yes To Coconut Hyd

Goody Bags From Cult Beauty, SPACE.NK & Feel Unique

As always you wait ages for a bus and then 3 come at once as it were.  I just checked my email and found 3 emails from Cult Beauty, SPACE.NK & Feel Unique offering a free goody bag when you spend a certain amount.  I don't know about you, but I try and hold back on any purchases until one of these offers comes around, so I thought I would give you a quick heads up about all the goody bags that are available right now. Cult Beauty This is a fab good bag worth £210 when you spend £110.  There are some great products in the goody bag which are listed here and it's pretty easy to spend £110 at Cult Beauty because they have some amazing brands available.  In fact it's so easy that I have already put in my order.  The goody bag is limited availability, so if you are tempted then I would put in your order asap, as the offer could disappear at any time.  The goody bag will automatically be added to your shopping bag, when you spend over £110. Benefit They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit

Image
I have been enjoying using the Benefit They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit ever since I got it at the start of the year.  The Benefit They're Real Double The Lip lipsticks are a lipstick and lip liner in one.  For lazy girls like me who hardly ever bother with lip liner this is a quick way to get that extra step back into your makeup routine.  The lip and lip liner colours are complimentary shades that help to give the appearance of volume and plumpness to your lips without giving you the harsh look of the 80's lip liners that did not even come close to matching your lipstick. The teardrop shape of the lipstick makes it easy to apply and the finish is semi-matte.  Benefit They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit costs £25.50 for 4 mini lipsticks or you can buy the full size Benefit They're Real Double The Lip  lipsticks individually for £16.50 each. The Benefit They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit includes four shades - Flame Game, Pink Thrills, Revved-Up Red and Lusty R

L'Oreal Sexy Balms Review

Image
Now let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of the name of this L'Oréal product - Sexy Balms, it's just a bit much.  It's a shame as otherwise it's a really nice product but never mind it's a small thing to dislike.  Anyway now that I've got that off my chest lets get on with the review. I bought 3 different colours from the L'Oréal Sexy Balms range which are all sheer - Break The Rules & As If! which are both lovely coral colours, with Break The Rules being the darker of the two and Go Pretty or Go Home which is a fab pink colour. I love these balms (sorry I can't say Sexy Balms).  They apply to your lips easily without any dragging and moisturise and hydrate your lips well.  The colour only lasts a couple of hours and if you eat a meal the colour doesn't stick around at all, but a quick swipe of the balm across your lips is all you need to reapply it.  This is a great product which gives your lips a lovely colour and keeps them s
