Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara Review

I was lucky enough to get hold of Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara* before it hit the shops. My first impression of this mascara was to notice its very big wand, one of the largest I have seen on any mascara.  The second is the interesting spiral shape of the wand.  I did wonder if I would be able to use this mascara on my short eye lashes, mainly due to the size of the wand.  In the end it worked pretty well.

The spiral shape of the wand picks up even the shortest lash and one coat is enough to define, separate and lengthen my lashes.  It even works well on my lower lashes, without smearing onto my under eye area.  There is no clumping or flaking and it lasts all day.

I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. For the price I was expecting to love it way more than I did. It does have a lovely lemon smell which I really enjoy, where as the Primark version doesn't really have a fragrance.  Overall, I actually preferred the Primark version as it is thicker and it made for a better base for my foundation. I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources.
