Primark False Nails Haul

Image
I wanted to do a quick post on my Primark false nails haul as I'm loving them. They are only £1.  I repeat £1.  A bargain not to be missed I think. They come in a number of different colours and patterns and for the price they are really good value. I am still on my spending ban so these are ones I picked up a couple of months ago, but I wanted to share them with you especially if you are like me and have rubbish nails and are often too lazy to paint them. I think they are really pretty and can't wait to try them all. I use the self adhesive stickers (you can pick them up at the Pound Shop) but they do come with glue if you prefer to use that. Below is my collection of Primark false nails. My favourite is the one on the bottom left hand photo its a blue gradient nail with glitter on part of the nail.                               All that lot for  £6 BARGAIN!!! What do you...

Kiko Haul

Image
Last year I visited London and as luck would have it I went on the day that Kiko opened on Regent Street so it would have been rude not to visit it. I had come across Kiko on a visit to Rome a couple of years ago and really liked it. I couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were and picked up a couple of items (as you do). I was really pleased when I found out they were opening a store in London but to be honest I thought the prices would be higher as they always seem to be in the UK. I was surprised though as I thought the prices were really reasonable and I did go overboard on my purchases in London. I did a quick blog about them here last year. As it was only a quick post last time I thought I would show you a few swatches of the items I bought. L-R Ultra Glossy Stylo 812 Black Cherry - This is so glossy and easy to apply I love it. Its a medium mauve pink colour. I bought it for £4.90 although its now available  online where they are currently on ...

St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub Product Review

Image
I was lucky enough to win the St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub in a competition in December.  I have now been using it for the last month, so I thought it was about time that I reviewed this product.  First of all I should say that I have never heard of this brand before, so I was really interested in trying out this product.  Its 97% natural product (minimum of 3% liquid soap base).  Its made in Canada and 150g costs £12.00.  You can buy the product direct from their website. This scrub is made of very fine sea salt with oils including Jasmine Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil and Lavender Oil.  I like how fine this scrub is.  It feels effective in sloughing away dead skin, but its not abrasive or so coarse that it scratches the skin rather than buffs it like some scrubs.   I like the smell of this scrub, which is fresh and salty and not in any way overpowering. The scrub is easy to wash off and even though it contains oils, it does no...

Birchbox Review - February 2014

Image
Its always nice to receive a beauty box to open at the end of a hard day and Birchbox is one of  my favourites.  Its very rare that it disappoints and Februarys box is no exception.  The theme of this months box is We Love Your Style (inspired by London Fashion Week).  Here's what I received in my box. Leighton Denny Nail Polish in the colour Meteor Match.  This is a full size product worth £11.  This is a shimmering pale marine colour injected with glitter.  This is a really nice colour, but it does take at least 3 coats to become opaque. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black.  I already have this from a magazine freebie last year and I don't use liquid eyeliner so I will give this one to a friend.  This is just over half the size of the normal full size product and is worth approx £6.85 (based on full size retailing at £12). Gilchrist & Soames Shower Gel 45ml.  In all honesty this looks like the sort or product yo...

Primark Haul

Image
I seem to have bought quite a few things from Primark over the last few months so I thought I would do a haul post. I like Primark as you can get some nice stuff fairly cheaply so it doesn't have to last too long and you don't get bored with it. I don't go in very often but when I do I always seem to get tempted to buy a decent amount and then I'm shocked when its totalled at the till as you seem to get so much for your money and that's even with prices increasing as I don't think it's as cheap as it used to be. This haul includes visits to the Leeds, London and Manchester stores. Home Room Diffuser Vanilla & Coconut Creme - £3 Gloves - £8 Green Jumper - £10 (I also bought this jumper in black and red). Red Bucket Bag - £8 Beige Bucket Bag - £8 Coat with faux leather sleeves - £25.  I spotted this in the Manchester store first and decided to be good and not buy it but then I kept thinking about it and regretted not buying it bu...

Birchbox Review - January 2014

Image
Here is my very belated Birchbox review.  This is the first Birchbox of 2014 and I am very happy with it.  It has some great products which I cant wait to try out.  The January box is based on Tiny Tweaks - focusing on some small daily changes that will make a big difference by year end.  This is what I received in my box. First of all the Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser which is 5ml and is worth £15 (full size retails at a whopping £150, so I think this will be the only time that I own this product, unless it performs miracles and makes a real difference to my skin).  I was very happy to receive this high end product. Honey Bee Venom works in synergy with a unique complex of plant stem cells to improve skin tone and elasticity.  I can't wait to try this product out. If that wasn't enough there is also a Benefit product included this month.   Benefit The POREfessional is an award winning primer that magically erases pores and leaves skin v...
