Beautylish Lucky Box 2019
I have just received my Beautylish lucky box 2019 and I couldn't wait to open it.
I've watched a few videos on YouTube over the last couple of years of people unboxing their lucky boxes and I must admit I've always been tempted to get one. Beautylish is a US based company so as well as the cost of the box there are also customs charges and postage to take into account which has put me off, but this year I decided to pull the trigger and order one. I think the total cost came to about £89 which included postage and the customs charge. Luckily they work the customs charge out for you so you don't have to worry when it gets posted to the UK that there will be extra charges on top to pay. So anyway on with the unboxing.
These Lucky Bags are based on a Japanese New Year custom and there is a cute little tag that comes with your box that explains this.
The tag also says that the sumo wrestlers or rikishi on this year's lucky bags are said to bring good look and fortune. I have to say I really like the way they package up the items. The initial wrapping inside the box has beauty items along with sumo wrestlers printed on it.

Stila Iridescent Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set which is a trio of really gorgeous duo-chromatic liquid eyeshadows. Again another one I'm happy to try out. I couldn't find this exact set anywhere online, but a 3 pack on the Stila site costs £29.
Next up is a brand I haven't heard of before Skindinavia. It's a Post-Makeup Recovery Spray which gently clears pores and helps prevent breakouts. You use this immediately after removing your makeup. I do like skin mists so can't wait to try it. That's what all these boxes are about trying out brands that you've not used before. This is a 118ml bottle which is available at Beauty Bay for £22 ($26 at Beautylish).
I also received a Wayne Goss 13 Face Brush. I've heard about this brand but never tried it out myself so I was pleased to receive this. The brush feels lovely and soft. This is $56 on the Beautylish website which is about £40 but doesn't seem to be available in the UK. I've would never pay this amount of money for a single brush, so I look forward to finding out if it is worth this kind of money.
I love my next product which is a Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick in the shade blush which is a nude pink and is the perfect colour for me. These cost £15 at Cult Beauty ($18 at Beautylish).

Finally I got a brand new product which is not yet available on the Beautylish website. It has got a coming soon wrapper around it and I couldn't find a price on the website. The brand is called Good Molecules and it's a Wake Up Eye Serum. This is 30ml and comes in really nice packaging. I like my eye serums so definitely a plus that this was in here. I have no idea on the price of this but I think its a budget brand so I'll say about £10 just to give it a price for my total but it does look like it could be worth more.
So I'd say all in all I was really pleased with this box. The approximate value of it is about £160 and that's with just a guesstimate on the Good Molecules product and I couldn't always find an exact match on the product I received but I think for £89 getting products worth £160 in my Lucky Box is good value. There's 4 brands that I've not used products from before so I'm looking forward to trying those as well as established brands which I'm really pleased to receive. I would definitely try and get hold of one of these boxes next year.
You can put your name on their waiting list now so I'll provide the link here and then they will send you an email later this year (around Christmas I think it was) to let you know it will be available soon and when you can purchase the box. It is extremely popular so you have to be quick. They do bigger boxes but these are only available to people who live in the US. I am a little bit jealous of that because they can get really great products in the bigger boxes. Check it out on YouTube there's some great unboxings on there.
