Empties October 2017
Wow it's been a while since I last posted. I just started a new job a couple of weeks ago, so I've been settling into my new role and got a bit behind on my posts. Here's a review of my empties from the last couple of months.
Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Butter - I picked this up in Florida and it's got such a wonderful fruity scent. It's quite a thick cream that is really moisturising. You can buy Pacifica products in the UK at Naturisimo.
Bath & Body Works Watermelon Lemonade Ultra Shea Body Cream - I bought this is Florida as well. Watermelon Lemonade is my all time favourite B&BW fragrance. It's another lovely fruity fragrance. I really wish that they would come to the UK, but if you want to buy B&BW products in the UK then I highly recommend the Facebook Group Bath & Body Works Fans UK.
Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel - This is my absolute favourite Lush product and I always stock up in the Boxing Day Sales.
My Trusty Sunflower Body Butter* - This is a really thick moisturising cream and you can read my review here.
Trilogy Everything Balm* - this is a really nice balm that's great to prevent chapped lips and smooth dry elbows and knees. You can read my review here.
MONUspa Relaxing Bali Body Oil - This was nice enough, but I probably would not repurchase it.
inhibitif Hair-Free Deodorant - This is supposed to minimise the need for hair removal, but I honestly did not notice that it made any difference.
Victoria's Secret Bombshell Body Mist - I love this scent and I would buy it again as it's a light, but sexy kind of fragrance. Keep a look out for offers as I bought this on a buy 1 get one free offer (2 for £22).
Victoria's Secret Amber Romance EDT - This is one of my favourite VS fragrances. It's sultry, but not overpowering which I like.
A couple of perfume samples including Chanel No5 L'Eau EDT which was nice, but not my favourite Chanel fragrance.
Casting Crème Gloss - This is my go to hair colourant right now. It lasts up to 28 shampoos and the colour is 454 Chocolate Brownie which is a lovely rich brunette.
Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo The Sleek Restorer - A nice enough shampoo, but not one that I would go out of my way to repurchase.
Davines OI All In One Milk - This is a leave in beauty treatment, but it really did not do much for my curly, frizzy hair.
Ouai Wave Spray - I love a good beach spray as it gives my curls a more tousled look. This is as good as any other that I have tried, although a bit pricier.
YoungHair The Root Fix Temporary Root Cover* - See my review here.
Sachajuan Ocean Mist - Another nice beach spray which works well on my curly hair to tame the frizz.
Umberto Giannnini FRIZZI - This is a smoothing styling spray with deep treatment conditioner. To be honest it didn't have much effect on my hair.
Aurelia Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser - This is a lovely, rich night cream.
Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm (x2) - I got a couple of samples of this product with various GWP goody bags and I really like it. I like the way the cleanser is darker, so you can see where you are applying it and it really does leave my skin feeling very clean (but not tight and dry).
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - I would say this is one of my favourite cleansers and it lasts absolutely ages.
Emma Hardie Age Support Eye Cream - This was just a little bit too rich for me. I also felt that the packaging was way too big for the amount of product.
Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer Tint - I really like this product. It's subtle and moisturising and has the added benefit of SPF30.
I'm not going to go through everything in this photo as most of it is samples, but I will just mention a few. The Primark PS Micellar Cleansing Water was only £2 for 430ml which is a bargain price, but I didn't really like the smell. I liked the Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm, but wasn't overly impressed by the Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum Pen. I really like REN Skincare at the moment. I especially liked the sample of Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial and would buy the full size. You can also read my review on the Balance Active Formula Wrinkle-Freeze Serum here.
It always takes ages to use up makeup products so I was glad to finish a couple of nail polishes and a lip gloss that I have had for ages. I won't repurchase any as I just have too many others to use first. I also finished Smashbox Brow Tech Gloss Stick which I really enjoyed using. I have really sparse brows (not from over plucking, they are just like that naturally) so I use brow products daily and this is really easy to use. The product glides on and lasts all day.
I can't get enough of Bath & Body Works PocketBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gels, so I stock up whenever I am in the US (or buy them via the Facebook page mentioned above).
I finished 2 Sephora Sleeping Masks, which were nice and they last at least 4 applications per mini pot). I also used an Anne Semonin Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube which was really interesting to use (basically an ice cube in a little pouch, held on the eye area. In all honesty I don't suffer from puffy eyes, so I don't really need this kind of product.
Finally, these are some sachets and face masks that I used up. I am really going to make an effort to use more masks and samples in the next few months as I have quite a stash of them.
I am really happy with the amount of products that I have used up recently and I hope that you have enjoyed reading about them. Let me know if you have managed to finish lots of products recently.
Leigh
I bought these products with my own money unless marked * which I received free to review but the opinions are my own
Gosh! You got through loads this month! My empties post is going to be very small (was in London and threw away everything I'd finished up!) I love anything by Aurelia Probiotic Skincare.
