Primark Beauty Haul

Image
I picked up a few beauty products in Primark recently that I wanted to show you.  I only spent £8.50, but I am really happy with what I bought. The PS Primer Water was £2 for 150ml and it preps skin for make-up application.  It's silicon free, alcohol free and oil free. The Holler and Glow Nail Polish in the shade Mermaid Tails is a pretty top coat that adds a splash of sparkle to any nail polish in a very subtle pretty manner (no photo swatches as it doesn't show up very well on camera).  This cost £2. I had to buy the PS Pointed Unicorn Bae Nails as they are so cute and colourful and who doesn't love unicorns.  These were £2. Finally, I bought the PS......XXL Plump Intense Colour Lip Plumping Gloss in Whatever.  This is a pretty pink colour, although I am not sure that it does plump up my lips.  Love the colour though.  This was £2.50. Elegant Touch Express 3 Minute Manicure Bargains at Superdrug

Image
I wanted to do a really quick post to let you know that there are some bargain Elegant Touch Express 3 Minute Manicure False Nails available in Superdrug stores right now (none of the cheap ones are available online).  I bought 4 different styles for 80p or 90p each (£3.40 in total for all 4 products).  I really like these nails as they are quick and easy to apply due to the fact that they are pre-glued. The 4 that I bought were - Deep Navy, Cornflower Blue, Neon Roses & Pink Foil.  They are currently on the Elegant Touch website for £7.99 each.  If you want to grab a bargain, hurry down to Superdrug to see if they have any left. Da'Dude Da'Wax Ultra Strong Hold Hair Styling Wax Review & Giveaway

Image
I was recently sent Da'Dude Da'Wax Ultra Strong Hold Styling Wax * to review.  First impressions of this product are great as it comes in a eco friendly laser bamboo tub inside a reusable bag rather than the standard plastic tub.  The company suggest reusing both the bag and tub once you have finished with the product which I will definitely be doing.   The product itself looks like a thick cream rather than a wax.  You just use a fingertip size portion of the wax, rub between your palms and style your hair.  You can use it on dry or towel dried hair.  I prefer to use it on towel dried hair. Easy as that, it gives firm hold with a natural matte finish.  Da'Dude Da'Wax costs £18.95 for 100ml and can be bought directly from their website here . The company does not test on animals and their products are Paraben, Sulfates and Phthalates free.  You can read more about the company here .  If you have any question...

Wash Wizard Sponges

Image
With the festival season now in full swing, it seems appropriate to review Wash Wizard.   It's a complete body wash sponge which is an essential for festivals, camping trips and anywhere where you need to freshen up when there is no access to showers.  Each sponge is wrapped individually for one use.  Simply add water and squeeze the sponge to activate the aloe vera foam.  The sponge generated enough foam to wash my entire body and left me feeling clean without the need for showering and there was no residue left behind.  The foam does not need to be rinsed off, it can just be left to air dry without the need for a towel. The Wash Wizard is hypo-allergenic and fragrance free and the sponge and packaging can be recycled.  The sponge contains organic aloe vera and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate.  I think this sponge would be great for travelling as well, as it's compact so easy to fit into backpacks and carryon bags without taking up much room. ...

Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL

Image
You can get Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL free with this months Red magazine which costs £4.30.  The mascara is full size and is worth £24. Is the mascara any good?  I thought I would do a quick review to see if this magazine freebie is worth picking up. The wand has quite a small brush which is nice, as so often the mascara wands have huge brushes which are hard to use.  I found this mascara so easy to apply and it immediately lengthened and separated my lashes without clumping.  I could apply a couple of layers, depending on how I wanted my lashes to look and there was no flaking or panda eyes after a couple of hours of wear. Is it worth the cost of the magazine (£4.30)?  Yes it definitely is and I will probably buy another couple of magazines so I have some backups.  Would I pay the £24 full price for the mascara?  No I wouldn't, because there is just no need to spend that much on a mascara is there, no matter how good it is. ...

Bare Feet By Margaret Dabbs

Image
I recently bought some products from the Bare Feet By Margaret Dabbs range from Marks and Spencer.   I bought the Refreshing Foot Powder Spray, the Cooling Foot Spray and the Nourishing Cracked Heel Balm. The Cooling Foot Spray has antibacterial properties and helps to cool and sooth your feet.  Perfect for these hot summer days that we have been having in the UK.  This product is really refreshing and cooling and leaves my feet feeling revitalised which is much appreciated after a long, hot day.  This product costs £9.50 for 100ml. The Refreshing Foot Powder Spray has antibacterial properties and like the Cooling Foot Spray contains ginger extract and manuka honey which helps to absorb moisture from your feet.  It also helps to eliminate foot odour and reduce sweat.  This product is £7 for 100ml. Finally, the Nourishing Cracked Heel Balm helps to moisturise and soften heels.  My heels are in terrible condition at the moment as I m...

Odylique Honey & Oat Cleansing Bar

Image
I was recently sent the Odylique Honey & Oat Cleansing Bar* to try out.  It provides gentle exfoliation for face and body for all skin types.  It's made with hydrating honey and coconut oil as well as soothing oats.  The soap bars are hand-made with 100% organic natural ingredients and is suitable for vegetarians. The Odylique Honey & Oat Cleansing Bar  costs £6.50 from the Odylique website.  This is a family owned and run British company and the products are hand-made in Suffolk.  The products are all free from synthetic chemicals and are certified organic and they never test on animals.  You can find out more about the company here . I found this a really pleasant alternative to strongly scented shower gels.  It was gentle on my skin, even my face.  The exfoliation is barely noticeable, so I wouldn't stop using a separate exfoliator when using this product.  I like the fact that it does not have any fragrance a...
