Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo, Conditioner & Leave-In Conditioner

The Shea Moisture range always catches my eye whenever I browse a drugstore in America and now it’s available in Boots it's much easier for those of us in the UK to get hold of.  Of course it’s cheaper in the US, so I decided to buy some of the Jamaican Black Castor Oil range while I was in Florida.  It's free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, paraffin, propylene glycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colour, DEA and there is no animal testing and it's great for curly hair.

The shampoo is a dark brown colour and is a runny consistency.  It smells like sugary vanilla, but it’s not overpowering or overly sweet.  It lathers up very easily and does not leave my hair feeling all tangled, which some shampoos do.  The shampoo removes build up whilst moisturising the hair.

The conditioner is a pale brown colour and it's thicker than the shampoo, but not too thick, so it comes out easily using the pump action top.  After using both the shampoo and conditioner from this range, my hair is definitely less tangled and knotty and much easier to brush through.  It also helps to eliminate frizz and so my curls look more defined after using my usual styling product.

If my hair is feeling particularly dry, then I will use the leave-in conditioner which is a thick, creamy substance that you scoop out of a tub.  You only need a small amount to work through your hair and again it makes it much easier to brush through and leaves my curls frizz free.

I love all 3 products from the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil range and they are suitable for natural, chemically processed, colour treated or heat styled hair.  They are available to buy in Boots, Superdrug and HQHair.  They are available at Ulta and Walgreens in the USA.
