BBB Beauty Box II

I was so excited to receive the BBB Beauty Box II, I even answered the door to the postman in my pj's and unbrushed, frizzy hair (how attractive), as I didn't want to risk missing the delivery.

This is how beauty boxes should be, a mix of brands that you have heard of and are excited to try out, and some new brands that give you a chance to try new products and who knows maybe even find a HG item.  I love a box that is not afraid to let you know whats inside before you buy.  That's the sign of confidence in their product and the fact that they all sold out in 1 morning shows how popular these boxes are (I think 750 boxes were available in total).  The box cost £22 + £5.95 P&P but the value of the box is approximately £150, which I think is an absolute bargain.

Here's a list of the products that came in the box (list taken from British Beauty Bloggers site here and I have added my comments in italic).

Alterna Bamboo Volume 48 Hour Spray (25ml) - With curly hair, this is the one product in the box that I don't really need, but I do occasionally straighten my hair, so I will probably try it out the next time I have straight hair.
Bourjois Shadow & Light Khol & Contour Eye Liner (Full Size) - this is an eye pencil with silver on 1 end and black on the other end.  Very versatile and useful, I will probably keep this in my handbag when I go out for the night for top ups.
CND Vinylux (Pinkie Size) - I have never heard of this product, but I am really interested to try it to find out if its any good.  This nail polish set comes with 1 colour (tropix a bubblegum pink colour) and 1 weekly top coat.  This polish should last for 1 weeks wear on your nails so I will let you know if this is the case when I have used it.
Indeed Labs Hydraluron Serum (5ml) - I have heard so much about this product and how hydrating it is.  I have never used a product with Hyaluronic Acid, so I cant wait to try this out.
L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream (30ml) - You can't go wrong with L'Occitane Hand Cream and I haven't tried the Cherry Blossom version, so happy to receive this in the box
L’Occitane Angelica Cleansing Gel (50ml) - I always like to try out new cleansers and toners and I haven't tried anything other than hand cream from L’Occitane, so I am happy to try this out.
L’Occitane Angelica Face Toner (50ml)  - as above
La Roche Posay Redermic (Full Size) - I have tried La Roche Posay products before, but not this one.  This is an anti-aging product and I am particularly interested in trying out products that help with uneven skin tone and sun damage, so I can't wait to try out this product and report back on it.  This is a full size product as well which is very generous.
Mandara Spa Tropical Blooms Moisturising Bath Milk (100ml) - I have used Mandara Spa products previously, but this is one I haven't used before.  I will enjoy trying this out in a relaxing bath as its a calming ritual scent.
Maybelline Rocket Mascara (Full Size) - You really can't go wrong with Maybelline Mascaras.  Again I haven't tried this particular one before, so I will review it when I have used it.
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (15ml) - I have heard great things about this product, so I am interested to see the results it gives.
REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask (15ml) - This can be used with the radiance renewal mask above, or by itself, so I will try it both ways.
Rituals Car Fragrance (Full Size) - I didn't know Rituals did car fragrances, so I am going to pop this in my car today.
Roger & Gallet Huile Sublime (10ml) - I like dry oils, but I haven't tried this one before.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Lip Gloss (Full Size) - I received the colour Uncaged Tigeress which is a lovely dark pinkish red colour.  I really like this colour and it will be great for Christmas parties.
Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Zodiac (Full Size) - I only have the Naked palette from Urban decay, but I have never owned an individual eyeshadow.  The colour I received is Zodiac which is a gorgeous shimmery green colour.  I can't wait to try this.  I love the packaging as well.
Vichy Idealia Day Cream (15ml) - I recently received a bottle of the Vichy Idealia Life Serum to review, so it is great that I have the matching Day Cream to use in conjunction with the serum.  This product is paraben free.
Washi Wash Cloth - I have used muslin cloths before as part of my cleansing routine, but this pure cotton hot cloth looks totally different, so I can't wait to give this a try.

Overall, I think this is an absolutely fantastic box and I can't wait to try out all the products.  There is not one product that I won't be able to make use of.

Here's a link to British Beauty Bloggers website.  This is one of my favourite blogs and it is a great place to find out about all the new beauty products that are about to be launched.

Were you lucky enough to receive one of these boxes?

Update to original post:  I just thought I would swatch the lip gloss and the eyeshadow for you.

The lip gloss is a gorgeous sheer raspberry colour and the eyeshadow is a shimmery deep green with black undertones and gold/silver/green/blue glitter. This will make a great bold eye colour and I can't wait to use it.

  2. Thanks for your comment Dollie. We are very lucky in the UK to have so many beauty boxes available. I think this box was available internationally, although not sure if India was included, so you should check out the BBB website and maybe contact Jane (the BBB Blogger) and find out if she can ship to India for future boxes. Good Luck :)
