Whoops I Did It Again - Another Primark Beauty Haul

Image
Primark hauls are like buses. You wait for ages and then 2 come along at once.  Check out my last haul here .  They have such great products at the moment and the prices are hard to say no to.  I have already reviewed Alex Steinherrs skincare range from Primark, but I didn't get a chance to pick up anything from the Pollution Solution range.  When I was browsing last week, I noticed the stand was fully stocked for once and there were some products that I had not tried out before, so I put them in my basket.  Here's what I bought: The City Mask soothes and recharges skin and contains amino acids, allantoin and hyaluronic acid.  It's a purifying and refining 2 part mask.  This cost £3. The Dual Texture Exfoliating Pads , contain lactic acid, PHA and niacinamide and they help to improve the skins texture and leave skin looking clearer.  They cost £5 for 60 pads. The Oil-Free Gel Hydrator contains anti-pollution complex, acai berry and peach flower extract and

Colourpop Disney Designer Collection Ultra Glossy Lip

Image
I'm a big Disney fan and love to visit the Disney Theme Parks whenever I get the chance.  So far I have visited Walt Disney World in Orlando, Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris and I can't wait to go back to all of them.  When I saw that Colourpop had brought out a Disney Designer Collection I didn't need much encouragement to purchase some of them.  Sadly I couldn't buy the whole collection so I settled on the Ultra Glossy Lips. Luckily there was free international shipping on when I placed my order which saved me some money. I bought all 3 and who could resist with names like Bibbidi, Bobbidi Boo.   The packaging is fab as well.  They all come in black boxes with gold writing and multi coloured stars as well as the names of the Disney Princesses written on them.  Absolutely lovely.  The glossies themselves are great as well. Bibbidi is a clear gloss with subtle shimmer which looks great by itself or over a lipstick.  Its great to just pop on wh

Primark Beauty Haul

I haven't spent a lot of time in Primark recently, even though I work close to a big store in Leeds.  Recently I decided to spend some time browsing when it was raining outside and even though I wasn't planning on buying anything, in the end I just could not resist. The first thing that I bought was the reusable silicone face masks .  I have never seen anything like this before.  Basically, you apply your normal face mask and then cover it with the silicone mask to intensify the process. It's washable, so you can use it more than once and for £1 I thought it was worth trying.   I then bought a couple of pairs of stick on toe nails in metallic silver and coral colours.  I have never tried false nails for my toes, so for £1 each I thought I would give them a go and I love the colours.  I also bought 3 pairs for false nails in the shades Ice Queen (holographic white), Purple Rain (metallic purple) and Sorbet (ombre lilac and pink). These cost £1 - £1.50.  At that pri

Pacifica at TKMaxx

Image
I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know that you can pick up some great Pacifica gift sets at TKMaxx now and again.  They cost between £7.99 and £9.99 and contain a couple of products including body lotions, rollerball perfumes  and/or  hand creams. Pacifica is a brand that I usually pick up in America so it's nice to be able to buy some of their products at a discount.  You can buy them at Holland & Barrett and online on websites like Feel Unique as well. I bought a Hawaiian Ruby Guava set which is one of my favourite scents from Pacifica.  The set cost £9.99 and contains body butter (73ml), perfume roll-on (10ml) and natural colour quench lip tint (4.25g). The perfume is worth £12.99 alone.  The recommended retail price is £18 and you can still buy this at Fragrance Direct for £13.95. I also bought a Tuscan Blood Orange set, which I have never tried before.  This cost £9.99 and contains the same products as the set above, but in a different fragrance. Agai

My Slimming World Journey - Month One

Image
I have recently started my journey to lose weight and this is the end of month One.  I have been gaining weight steadily over the last few years and the diet was always going to start the next day until the actual next day when I carried on as normal and ate what I wanted.  I’m not really a dieter,  I’ve never counted calories and only really cook occasionally (as I’m not that good at it) so snacking on junk food is more my MO.  I’m not sure why, but in February I decided enough was enough.   It may be because a few on my colleagues at work are on the Slimming World diet that I decided to look into it.  After reading some of the recipes that looked really appetising I decided this was the weight loss approach for me.    So this is my first month of following this plan and actually it’s not been too bad.  I'm not going to meetings, I’ve decided to just try the online version as mainly I wanted to download the app and check out how many syns the food  I am eating is and what foo

A Few Of My Favourite Things in February

Image
These are just a few of the things that I really enjoyed in February Magnum PI I remember the old series back in the 80s or 90s starring Tom Selleck and I liked that but I love this update starring Jay Hernandez. This remake is very funny and it's definitely one of those shows that I could binge watch if I had the opportunity to, but for now I'll just have to live with watching one episode per week. Slimming World I have finally come to the conclusion that I need help to lose some weight. I'm so busy and I'm not a great cook so Slimming World is great for me as there are loads of free foods and I can buy ready-made meals from Iceland which are really delicious and very reasonably priced. I won't call this a diet because I really don't feel like it is. I certainly don't feel like I am starving and I have plenty of choice of foods available to me. I have only been doing this for 2 weeks but I have already lost 6 pounds and I really feel like this
