First Empties of 2018

Image
I can't believe this is my first empties of 2018.  I posted one in January but that was a review of the last lot of empties from 2017 which you can read about here .  Here's the products I've used so far this year. NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil - This is one of my all time favourite dry oils and I use it on my face, body, nails and hair.  I have accumulated loads of bottles of this product from various beauty boxes, so I have plenty still in the stash. Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil - This 2ml sample was really too small to form much of an opinion of. Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Balm - I love this product and the scent is gorgeous so this is definitely a product that I would repurchase.  Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Black Camomile Body Cream - B&BW is one of my favourite stores in the US, so I like to stock up on their products whenever I am on holiday (please bring B&BWs to the UK).  This smells lovely and is v

Latest Primark Haul

Image
Whoops I did it again (I'm sure I've used that line before probably many times when I've bought things I don't really need).  Anyway this is my latest (smallish) Primark Haul (it's lethal working in a city centre). I loved the 2 bags above designed by Henry Holland for House of Holland.  They are £3 each and made with sustainable cotton.  It's nice to see Primark selling products that are ethical as they haven't always had the best press for their working practises.  I think there are 4 bags in the range but I can't remember what the other ones were. I think Primark knock it out of the park with their Disney range.  This jewellery is so lovely and features Beauty and The Beast, Alice in Wonderland and Mickey and Minnie.  These were £3 each.  I can't imagine how much you would pay at WDW or the Disney store for this type of thing.  The rings come is such nice packaging as well.  These would make great gifts for your Disney friends.  Read abou

Elemental Herbology Metal Detox Bath & Body Oil Review

Image
I've been loving bath and body oils lately and one of my favourites is Elemental Herbology Metal Detox Bath and Body Oil. This bath and body oil can be applied to your body before a shower, dispensed into a hot bath or applied directly to dry skin to nourish and hydrate.  I prefer to use it in a hot bath and it really helps my skin stay hydrated and lovely and soft.  It smells great as well, a cross between fruity and herby if that makes sense.   I'm not too sure about the detox part but it is meant to eliminate toxins, stimulate lymphatic drainage and encourage circulation.  It includes rosemary to improve circulation, aid digestion and stimulate the mind, grapefruit which aids general detox and helps stimulate healthy digestion and juniper berry for cleansing and purifying and helps remove toxins and improves circulation.    My skin is well moisturised after using this in the bath and I don't need to apply any moisturiser on top.   It absorbs easily into my sk

Primark Beauty Brand Review - My Thoughts on the Products

Image
I love browsing around the Primark beauty section, especially as there are lots of bargains to be had.  I can't promise that the products will all still be available in store as Primark changes stock so often. Here's my thoughts about some of my recent purchases. PS Love To Glow Face Mask - £1 reduced from £3 for 50ml This has Moroccan clay & Himalayan bamboo charcoal and is for exfoliating and smoothing, as well as purifying & brightening. You apply a thin layer to wet skin and leave on for 10 minutes and remove with warm water.  I could feel the exfoliating particles which felt a bit scratchy when applying this to my skin initially, but as you only apply a thin layer it's not too bad.  It drys down on your skin without feeling tight which is good.  Once I removed the mask my skin did feel smoother.  It wasn't my favourite mask but I would use it again and for the price you can't complain. PS Rose & Vitamin E Micellar Cleansing Pads - £2 for 80
