*Kikkerland Solar Radiometer

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. The Kikkerland Solar Radiometer* demonstrates with simple physics and movement how light can be transformed into energy. The black and polished vanes are suspended in the semi-vacuum created inside the radiometer and when it is exposed to a warm light source such as the sun or a lamp, the vanes will spin. The more powerful the light source the faster the vane will spin. This works because the black side of the vane absorbs the light faster than the polished side, air pressure builds and raises the temperature of the air molecules on the back side of the vane which causes the spinning motion. Hopefully you can see how it works in the video I have included below. The Kikkerland Solar Radiometer comes in 2 pieces, measures 4 inches x 3 inches and is really easy to slot together. You can use it as a science experiment with your children, or simply display it as an interesting conversation piece. Its also quite relaxing to watch

*Top It Game Review

Image
*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own. Its that time of year again where its starting to get colder, the nights are drawing in and I am more than happy to stay wrapped up inside so this is the perfect time to get the games out. Top It* is a fast thinking family game which is fun to play as you compete to get the most points.  You race to place your cones on letter discs whilst calling out examples to different topics. Any other player can Top It with another answer and place their cone on top of yours if it starts with the same letter. Only the last cone counts and bags all the points for that letter.   It really is for fast thinking people. Trying to come up with answers fast isn't always easy but its fun to try and beat your friends and family.  Its one of those games that's fun for all the family and anyone can win.  Its fun to come up with the answers and try to win the game and even better when you can think of an answer with the same letter s

Aldi Lacura 100% Vegan Deodorant Review

Image
Aldi is fast becoming one of my favourite places to stock up on everyday toiletries.  I do prefer a stick deodorant, so I picked up these 3 100% vegan Lacura deodorants from Aldi. They are aluminium, alcohol and dye free and 90% naturally derived.  They cost £2.99 each for 50g & the packaging is recyclable. There are 3 varieties - Coconut & Vanilla which has a lovely rich creamy scent, Mango for those who like a fruity fragrance and Cucumber & mint which strangely has a more masculine aftershave vibe. They all contain a blend of naturally derived shea butter, coconut oil and sunflower seed oil. These deodorants help to neutralise odour and condition the skin to keep you fresh all day. I thought they worked really well and also kept my armpits nicely moisturised. Not bad for the price. Leigh 💜 I purchased this product with my own money

Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen - Dupe for Benefits Microfilling Pen

Image
My eyebrows are microbladed, but they need topping up every year and as its coming up to the end of the one year anniversary since I first had them done, they have faded a little bit,  so I use the  Lacura Microblade Effect Pen from Aldi to fill in the areas that have started to fade.  By the way I am super happy with how my brows turned out and would heartily recommend microblading to anyone who has sparse brows like me.  Its super simple to use as the pen has 3 prongs, so its very easy to draw on brows as you get 3 lines with every stroke. Its a nice neutral brown that matches my own brows so it looks very natural and it stays put once its on and its also waterproof. Its only £2.99 and its very similar to Benefits Microfilling Pen which costs a whopping £23.50.  So if you are looking for a product that works on your brows and is affordable then look no further.
