Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter Review

Image
I have to admit that I am not a big fan of highlighters as I think they can look too in your face for my taste, so when I am going for a full on glam look (which isn't often I might add), then I just want a lit from within subtle glow.  I think that I have found the perfect product from Charlotte Tilbury  the Hollywood Flawless Filter which promises a superstar youth glow.   Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourite makeup and beauty brands, so I always take advantage of goody bag offers from Cult Beauty to stock up on CTs latest products.  The Hollywood Flawless Filter is £30 for 30ml and comes in 7 shades.  It has a doe-foot applicator which makes it easy to dot the product onto your skin and I find it blends just as well with fingers as with a beauty blender.  I picked shade 3 Light/Medium and although it looks a bit dark and orange in the bottle, it doesn't come out that way and it is the perfect shade for me. You can apply it all over the face as a flawless filer, or on top …

Primark Disney Haul

Image
It's been a while since I last did a Primark haul but last weekend I was in Manchester and Primark is selling some killer Disney items at the moment which I just couldn't resist buying .  I like that with Primark you can fill a whole basket and not worry that it's going to break the bank.  I don't shop there as often as I used to but I like to pop in now and again to see what they have instore as there are some great clothes, shoes, jewellery and beauty items to be had.  Anyway here's what I bought. I loved this bracelet for £3.  It has 4 Disney charms and comes in a great presentation box.  It looks like it's worth more than £3. I can't resist anything rose gold and these Mickey ears earrings at £2 just had to go in my basket. I thought these Alice in Wonderland earrings were so cute.  These were £2 as well. I popped these ones into my basket before I saw the rose gold ones but forgot!!! to put them back but I thought these were nice as well.  Again £2 for 3 p…

White Glo Advanced Teeth Whitening System Review

Image
I was sent some White Glo products to try out recently which was great as I have always been on the look out for teeth whitening products that work.  I usually buy the products and then get bored of using them as they never seem to fit easily into my routine (read into that that I'm lazy and I forget).  Anyway I was interested to try them out. Professional Teeth Whitening System White Glow Diamond Series Advanced Teeth Whitening System* This set comes with the whitening treatment and the tray and a daily maintenance White Glow Professional Choice toothpaste.  It's very simple to use, you apply the whitening treatment (which is a gel) to both sides of the tray (for your upper and lower teeth or you can just choose to do one or the other).  Pop the tray in your mouth (there are indicators on the tray so you know which way up to put it).  You then leave it in for 5-15 minutes (I usually leave it in for the full 15).  You can do this every day for 1 week and then a further week if y…

Sol de Janeiro Brand Review - My Thoughts on The Products

Image
Sol de Janeiro first came to my attention due to the famous Brazilian Bum Bum cream.  Once I heard about it, I had to try it (mainly based on the interesting name).  Since then I have tried out a few more of their products so I wanted to let you know what I thought about the ones that I have tried. First of all it has to be the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream - £44 for 240ml or £18 for 75ml This is probably one of the most expensive body creams I have ever purchased and I have to admit I bought the travel size version first as I didn't want to waste my money if such a hyped product turned out to be disappointing.  I needn't have worried as this product is simply divine.  I have already gone out and bought the full size version.  It's rich and creamy and smells like sun, sea and sand all rolled into one.  I could eat this it smells so good and even better it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth.  This has to be one of my favourite body creams of all time.

Laidbare Skincare Brand Review - My Thoughts on the Products

Image
Sorry my posts have been abit stop start recently.  I managed to sprain my ankle walking home from work one day when we had the really bad weather and I slipped on some ice.  It's been pretty painful, but hopefully the worst of it is over as the bruising has started to go down and my cankle is beginning to reduce back to it's normal size.  Hopefully things are now getting back to normal and I'm hoping that we have seen the back of snow and ice this year as I am sick of it (as this is Britain I'm sure that isn't the case).
Anyway I was looking through my stash recently and realised I had 3 products from Laidbare Skincare which I had received in Love Lula beauty boxes.  When I looked into the brand it was perfect for me as it is a natural (97%-100%), affordable skincare range that does not test on animals.  So I couldn't wait to try out the 3 products that I have from this range. DIY! Two in One Cleanser & Toner 125ml £6.99 This product contains Liquorice and Al…

Jolen Creme Bleach Review

Image
I have been given the opportunity to try out  Jolen Creme Bleach*.  This is a product that lightens excess dark hair on your face.  I don't have lots of facial hair but just the odd dark hair around the lip line or chin (no idea where they come from, one minute they are not there and the next yikes!), so this was a product I was interested in trying out.

It is really easy to use just wash the area you want to bleach with soap and cold water and pat dry. Measure out the appropriate amount of product which is clearly detailed in the instructions.  You then apply the mixture to the area you want to bleach, covering the hair completely,  Leave for 8 minutes and remove with the spatula.  If the hair is not completely bleached reapply the mixture for another 5-10 minutes and then wash area with cold water.
I must admit that as the word bleach is in the product name I was really worried it would be quite harsh on my face, but I didn't notice it on at all.    I found this product quick …

Declutter Part 3 - Foundations & CC Creams

Image
I am continuing on with my decluttering journey at a slow old pace (see my last post here).  The next category that I am dealing with is foundations & CC creams.  First of all I will admit that this is a small category and will be very easy to get though as I only have 4 products to try out.  I very rarely wear foundation as I prefer the lighter touch of bb creams.  I always struggle to find a foundation that makes my skin look better not worse.  In fact the only foundation that I have ever tried out and liked is YSL Touche Eclat Le Teinte Foundation and for some reason I don't even have that in my collection right now.  Anyway I went through my stash of products and found the following 4 products that I need try out and see if they work for me. The things I am looking for in a foundation is: Easy to apply Makes my skin look better not worse Doesn't sink in to fine lines around my eyes and pores on my cheeks Doesn't cling to dry patches and make them look worse First of all …
