Da'Dude Da'Hair Spray Review

I was very kindly sent Da'Dude Da'Hair Spray* to try out.  I am always on the look out for great hair products as I have unruly curly hair that is hard to tame. Da'Dude Da'Hair Spray is described as having an extra strong matte finish with long lasting hold which comes in a premium class gift box.  It recommends building up the hold gradually by spraying in a sweeping motion then waiting 20 seconds before spraying again.  I generally wear my hair up to work so like to use hair spray to make sure that I don't have strands of flyaway hair throughout the day and this was great for that.  When I go out on an evening I like to wear my hair down but worry about my hair getting frizzy and I found this hair spray to have just the right level of hold to keep my curls in place without getting crispy hair (all you curly haired girls out there know what I mean).  It has a matte finish which I liked and I didn't get any flakes in my hair when I used it.  It was also easy to …

Superdrug Revlon Lip Offer

I just wanted to let you know about a great offer in Superdrug at the moment.  Revlon lip products are all £5.99 at the moment and there is also a 3 for 2 offer on as well.  I bought 3 Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipcolorswhich normally retail at £7.99 each.  They should have cost £23.97, but with these 2 offers they only cost £11.98 which is an absolute bargain as that's half price. I bought 3 colours - Desert, Coral & Vineyard and I love them all.  They are very creamy and easy to apply. It's definitely a good time to stock up on Revlon lip products at Superdrug right now.

Aldi Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask Review

I recently picked up the Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask from Aldi which I had heard was a good dupe for a Glamglow mask.  I love the packaging which is silver with black and turquoise writing.  It is only £5.99 for 50ml, but the packaging makes it look like a more expensive product.

The important thing though is it a good product?  I can honest say I really liked it.  It is a clay product that is easy to apply.  It did make my face tingle when I first applied it, but it soon calmed down.  It's not recommended for sensitive skin though.  You can leave it on for 5-10 minutes  (I left it on for 10 minutes) and then  remove it with warm water.  After removing the mask my skin felt clean and smooth without feeling tight.  You can use it 1-2 times a week.
The Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask from Aldi  is a clay mask which has extracts of green tea, witch hazel (to soothe skin) and red algae.  It also contains walnut shell which is very fine so doesn't feel harsh on the skin.
As I mentioned …

Balance Active Formula Snake Venom Range

If you are looking for a budget skincare range to try out then I can recommend Balance Active Formula Snake Venom Range* which I was recently sent to try out.  This range uses a snake venom-like peptide called SYN-AKE which is clinically proven to 'freeze' wrinkles and fine lines, whilst creating a smoother appearance.
First of all the Balance Active Formula Snake Venom Eye Cream* helps to blur fine lines and minimise dark circles.
The Balance Active Formula Wrinkle-Freeze Serum* is a concentrated formula that penetrates the skin and has been tested to reduce crows feet by 24% and smooth up to 52% of forehead wrinkles.
Finally, the Balance Active Formula Instant Effect Wrinkle Filler* contains ingredients that are clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lift and plump skin and give a more rested and radiant look.
These products are all paraben free and best of all prices start from just £3.  Considering the price the packaging doesn't look cheap.…

Primark Beauty Haul

I picked up a few beauty products in Primark recently that I wanted to show you.  I only spent £8.50, but I am really happy with what I bought. The PS Primer Water was £2 for 150ml and it preps skin for make-up application.  It's silicon free, alcohol free and oil free.
The Holler and Glow Nail Polish in the shade Mermaid Tails is a pretty top coat that adds a splash of sparkle to any nail polish in a very subtle pretty manner (no photo swatches as it doesn't show up very well on camera).  This cost £2.
I had to buy the PS Pointed Unicorn Bae Nails as they are so cute and colourful and who doesn't love unicorns.  These were £2. Finally, I bought the PS......XXL Plump Intense Colour Lip Plumping Gloss in Whatever.  This is a pretty pink colour, although I am not sure that it does plump up my lips.  Love the colour though.  This was £2.50.

Elegant Touch Express 3 Minute Manicure Bargains at Superdrug

I wanted to do a really quick post to let you know that there are some bargain Elegant Touch Express 3 Minute Manicure False Nails available in Superdrug stores right now (none of the cheap ones are available online).  I bought 4 different styles for 80p or 90p each (£3.40 in total for all 4 products).  I really like these nails as they are quick and easy to apply due to the fact that they are pre-glued. The 4 that I bought were - Deep Navy, Cornflower Blue, Neon Roses & Pink Foil.  They are currently on the Elegant Touch website for £7.99 each.  If you want to grab a bargain, hurry down to Superdrug to see if they have any left.

I bought these products with my own money

Da'Dude Da'Wax Ultra Strong Hold Hair Styling Wax Review & Giveaway

I was recently sent Da'Dude Da'Wax Ultra Strong Hold Styling Wax* to review.  First impressions of this product are great as it comes in a eco friendly laser bamboo tub inside a reusable bag rather than the standard plastic tub.  The company suggest reusing both the bag and tub once you have finished with the product which I will definitely be doing. The product itself looks like a thick cream rather than a wax.  You just use a fingertip size portion of the wax, rub between your palms and style your hair.  You can use it on dry or towel dried hair.  I prefer to use it on towel dried hair. Easy as that, it gives firm hold with a natural matte finish.
Da'Dude Da'Wax costs £18.95 for 100ml and can be bought directly from their website here.
The company does not test on animals and their products are Paraben, Sulfates and Phthalates free.

You can read more about the company here.  If you have any questions about the products you can contact the owners through their website…

Wash Wizard Sponges

With the festival season now in full swing, it seems appropriate to review Wash Wizard.   It's a complete body wash sponge which is an essential for festivals, camping trips and anywhere where you need to freshen up when there is no access to showers.  Each sponge is wrapped individually for one use.  Simply add water and squeeze the sponge to activate the aloe vera foam.  The sponge generated enough foam to wash my entire body and left me feeling clean without the need for showering and there was no residue left behind.  The foam does not need to be rinsed off, it can just be left to air dry without the need for a towel. The Wash Wizard is hypo-allergenic and fragrance free and the sponge and packaging can be recycled.  The sponge contains organic aloe vera and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate.  I think this sponge would be great for travelling as well, as it's compact so easy to fit into backpacks and carryon bags without taking up much room.
A pack of 5 Wash Wizard sponges costs £7…

I just want to point out that the boxes that the products come in are a little bit damaged as I put them away whilst I was doing some decorating so they got a tad crushed, but the products themselves are not damaged in any way.
Good luck everyone.

XO Balm

XO Balm* is a multipurpose natural balm that nourishes and protects skin, hair and nails.  It's made in the UK and contains 100% natural ingredients, beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil and chia seed oil.  I love the fact that it comes with a mini spatula to keep things hygienic when you are using the product, so that you don't have to dip your fingers in.  It's fragrance free and against animal testing.
I love the stylish, simple packaging and another great touch is the mirror on the inside of the lid, which comes in handy when applying the balm to your face.  I think this is a great product to carry around in your bag and I love to use it to keep my lips moisturised.  It's also great for hands and nails and especially dry elbows.  It can also be used on eczema and irritated skin.
XO Balm can be bought direct from the website here for £12.50 for 45g.  You can find out more about how the product came about here.

Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL

You can get Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL free with this months Red magazine which costs £4.30.  The mascara is full size and is worth £24.

Is the mascara any good?  I thought I would do a quick review to see if this magazine freebie is worth picking up. The wand has quite a small brush which is nice, as so often the mascara wands have huge brushes which are hard to use.  I found this mascara so easy to apply and it immediately lengthened and separated my lashes without clumping.  I could apply a couple of layers, depending on how I wanted my lashes to look and there was no flaking or panda eyes after a couple of hours of wear. Is it worth the cost of the magazine (£4.30)?  Yes it definitely is and I will probably buy another couple of magazines so I have some backups.  Would I pay the £24 full price for the mascara?  No I wouldn't, because there is just no need to spend that much on a mascara is there, no matter how good it is.  Even high end ones from brands like YSL, MAC or Dior do…

Let me know if you see any other magazine freebies.

Bare Feet By Margaret Dabbs

I recently bought some products from the Bare Feet By Margaret Dabbs range from Marks and Spencer.  I bought the Refreshing Foot Powder Spray, the Cooling Foot Spray and the Nourishing Cracked Heel Balm. The Cooling Foot Spray has antibacterial properties and helps to cool and sooth your feet.  Perfect for these hot summer days that we have been having in the UK.  This product is really refreshing and cooling and leaves my feet feeling revitalised which is much appreciated after a long, hot day.  This product costs £9.50 for 100ml.
The Refreshing Foot Powder Spray has antibacterial properties and like the Cooling Foot Spray contains ginger extract and manuka honey which helps to absorb moisture from your feet.  It also helps to eliminate foot odour and reduce sweat.  This product is £7 for 100ml.
Finally, the Nourishing Cracked Heel Balm helps to moisturise and soften heels.  My heels are in terrible condition at the moment as I made the mistake of wearing new shoes when I went shopping …

Odylique Honey & Oat Cleansing Bar

I was recently sent the Odylique Honey & Oat Cleansing Bar* to try out.  It provides gentle exfoliation for face and body for all skin types.  It's made with hydrating honey and coconut oil as well as soothing oats.  The soap bars are hand-made with 100% organic natural ingredients and is suitable for vegetarians. The Odylique Honey & Oat Cleansing Bar costs £6.50 from the Odylique website.  This is a family owned and run British company and the products are hand-made in Suffolk.  The products are all free from synthetic chemicals and are certified organic and they never test on animals.  You can find out more about the company here.

I found this a really pleasant alternative to strongly scented shower gels.  It was gentle on my skin, even my face.  The exfoliation is barely noticeable, so I wouldn't stop using a separate exfoliator when using this product.  I like the fact that it does not have any fragrance and my skin did not feel dry after use.

Have you tried anything…

COSRX Blackhead Silk Finger Ball

I recently purchased a packet of COSRX Blackhead Silk Finger Balls from Cult Beauty.  I had a noticeable blackhead on the tip of my nose for ages that I couldn't get rid of, every time I looked in the mirror I couldn't help but obsess over how big it was (although I am sure no one else noticed it).  When I saw the COSRX Blackhead Silk Finger Balls on Cult Beauty (£8 for 12), I thought it couldn't hurt to give them a try.  They are bizarre looking things, but they are made with 100% natural cocoons which helps to exfoliate damp skin cells and blackheads around the nose and mouth area.
Simply soften the finger ball by soaking it in warm water for a couple of minutes, then place it on your fingertip and gently massage it over your nose and around your mouth.  You can then rinse them and reuse them a couple more times, although I prefer to just use them once. I noticed a difference straight away.  The noticeable blackhead that was slightly larger than the other blackheads on my …

Yes It's Another Primark Haul

Primark is really knocking it out of the park right now.  I literally cannot walk into Primark and just browse, I just have to buy something every time I go in.  I think the reason for this is that if you see something that you like, chances are you will never see it again in any other Primark store, the stock moves so quickly in Primark I don't want to risk missing out.  Here is a haul which includes a few different shops including one from Oxford Street in London which has London branded products that I would assume will not be available elsewhere in the country. These denim look backless shoes with a bow cost a bargain £8 as did the gorgeous black print shoes below which are also backless. When I was in London I bought a couple of items with London printed on the front.  The t-shirt was £4 and is made of a really soft material and the bag was £2. I love these mirrored sunglasses which were £3 and I finally managed to pick up the chain extenders which cost £1 which will be very han…

JANJIRA Grapefruit & Tangerine Therapy Massage Candle Review

I was kindly sent the JANJIRA Grapefruit & Tangerine Therapy Massage Candle* to try out recently.  I haven't come across this type of multi use candle before. You light the candle and let the wax melt and then you are left with an oil which after blowing out the candle, you pour into your palm and use as a massage oil, face and body oil or moisturiser. The lovely warm oil has a great citrus fragrance which helps you relax.  Once the oil is applied to your skin, it absorbs gradually leaving a light fragrance behind.  The oil is great for dry areas so I made sure to apply it to my elbows and feet.
JANJIRA Grapefruit & Tangerine Therapy Massage Candle costs £32 for 200g and is available on the JANJIRA website.  The key ingredients are Soybean oil and Coconut oil.
I think this is a great idea as you get a lovely candle but at the same time you are getting a great massage, face and body oil.
All Janjira products are free from parabens, sulphates and artificial colours and they ha…

Greenfrog Botanic Botanical Bodywash & Soapberry Handwash

I came across Greenfrog Botanic in the Love Lula Beauty Box that I used to subscribe to.  I have tried 2 of their products Botanical Bodywash Neroli & Lime & Soapberry Handwash Geranium & Peppermint. Both products are made with botanical soap sourced from the Himalayas.  The Botanical Bodywash has a subtle zesty scent and is perfect for dry skin conditions, whilst the organic aloe vera helps to cleanse and moisturise your skin.  This product does not contain any parabens or SLS.  The ingredients are all botanical and are certified vegan and cruelty free and costs £8.95 for 300ml.  This is such a lovely product and great for the whole family.  My skin can be dry and sensitive at times and this bodywash felt really gentle on the skin, it left my skin feeling clean, but was not drying at all.
The Soapberry Handwash contains natural antibacterial Soapberry Saponin which is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat dry skin and conditions such as eczema and also contains organic aloe v…

Chloe Ferry Liquid-Matte Lipstick

I was kindly sent a Chloe Ferry Liquid-Matte Lipstick* to try out in the shade Rouge.  First of all who is Chloe Ferry?  I must admit that I had to look her up online.  She is one of the stars of reality show Geordie Shore (which I won't hold against her) and she has collected all her favourite beauty products on her website By Chloe Ferry.  All the products are suitable for vegans and are cruelty free which is great. The Liquid-Matte Lipstick that I tried is called Rouge and is a very bright, vibrant red.  I don't have the plumpest of lips, so I tend to avoid very bright colours like this and I sometimes find liquid lipsticks way too drying for my lips.  I was pleasantly surprised that this liquid lipstick was really easy to apply, only needed one coat and it didn't leave my lips feeling like I was stuck out in the desert.  The doe foot applicator makes it so easy to apply with precision and one coat completely covers my lips for full opacity.   Even better, it does not en…
