Empties so far in 2014

Here's a post of all the products I have used up so far in 2014.  I have been trying really hard over the last couple of months to use my products regularly. I have just finished a 60 day spending ban so I have been trying to use up all my old products before I can buy any new ones.  Anyway here are the photos of my empties.  I will just mention the ones I've really liked and would buy again or the ones that I didn't really get on with and definitely wouldn't buy again.

LOVE, Chloe EDP 50ml.  I really like Chloe perfumes and have bought the original, LOVE and SeeBy Chloe.  I would buy this again but would probably wait for the Christmas sales as I have so many perfumes at the moment.

Balenciaga Paris EDP 50ml.  I bought this in the Christmas sales a couple of years ago and have finally finished it.  I liked this scent and would buy it again.  Its a very feminine, classic scent.  A Chypre Violet with the green, fresh signature of the flower and its leaves.

Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment 2.2g.  This is a nice lip balm that leaves a subtle pink sheen on the lips.  Its a lovely product, but a little expensive for everyday use.

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation - This is a sample that I picked up from the YSL counter and its definitely my favourite foundation, so I will repurchase when I have used up the numerous BB creams, tinted moisturisers and foundations that I still have in my stash.  Its a light to medium coverage and applies like a dream using my Real Techniques Face Brush.

Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait - I love Revlon Lip Butters and this one is my favourite colour.  A bright, sparkly peach colour which is perfect for summer.   I will definitely repurchase this at some point.

L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Waterproof Mascara - I bought this in America, so I am not sure if this exact mascara is available over here, but thats not a problem as I don't rate this product.  I thought it was a little dry and although it separated my lashes well and didn't clump, it did not add any volume or length.  So nothing like false lashes at all.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Sensual Rose. This is a sheer coral colour, but it was a bit too sheer for me, so I won't be repurchasing.

Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Brilliance Mask 200ml -  This was a nice intensive moisturising treatment, but I don't think its any better than some cheaper drugstore brands, so I won't be repurchasing.

Kiehls Creme De  Corps 250ml - I'm a big fan of Kiehl's although as it is expensive, I tend to buy in bulk when I go on holiday to America or when there is a really good offer on Kiehl's website.  I really like this body moisturiser it is really nice and thick and creamy although I do find it hard to get the product out of the bottle sometimes as its so thick.  This is definitely a product I would repurchase.

Elvive Anti-Frizz Shampoo 400ml - You can't go wrong with Elvive shampoo. I have curly hair that tends to frizz and this shampoo is great.  It's easy to brush through my hair after using this shampoo even before I got my tangle Teezer (one of my hero products).  Definitely would buy again.

Bath & Body Works be Enchanted fragrance mist - This is another product that I bought in America.  I love Bath & Body Works products, but this one turned out to be a bit fruity for my tastes.  Would not repurchase.

estelle & thild Facial Oil Rose Otto 30ml - I really like facial oils and use them as overnight moisturisers.  This was fine but nothing special so wouldn't buy again.

Caudalie Premier CRU Eye Creme 15ml - I didn't notice anything improving around my eyes with this cream and it is quite expensive so I wouldn't repurchase.

Neals Yard Bee Lovely to your hands Hand Cream 50ml - This product smells good enough to eat its so nice.  I would definitely buy this again as it really moisturises my hands well.

These are all the samples I have used lately (41 in total). I am trying to use them all up this year as I have collected loads.  As they are samples I'm not going to review them as I honestly don't think you can say whether they work or not from a small sample, but I do think I could use all my samples over a month and not have to use any other products or very few others as I have collected so many.

I bought these with my own money (sachets came free with Magazines I purchased)

Comments

  1. I've found some products I've loved via sachets so really think they are worthwhile. Love the Neal's Yard hand cream and would buy again x

  2. I love using samples to try out products. I picked up a sample of ysl foundation which was really great and went on to buy the full size. I have a box full of samples that I have collected in the last year that I am trying to use up :)
