Revlon Chroma Chameleon Nail Polish Poundland Haul

I bought this haul a while ago (so haven't broken my spending ban) but haven't had a chance to post it before now as I have been posting my holiday hauls. I should never go into Poundland as I am always tempted.  These seemed a really good deal as alot of the time the nail polishes look really old and the polish itself has separated but these looked as good as new.  When I spotted them I thought they looked really pretty and as I looked through the shelf I kept finding more and I couldn't put any of them back as they were all such lovely colours. These are called Revlon Chroma Chameleon.

L-R Tanzanite, Gold, Aquamarine, Topaz, Pink Qurtz, Cobalt
Tanzanite - The main colour is purple which changes to a goldy bronze.

Gold - This starts gold and changes to green.

Aquamarine - This is a gorgeous aqua blue which changes to a purple.

Topaz - This is a greeny gold which looks like it might change to a darker green although its hard to tell looking at the bottle.

Pink Quartz - This is a gold colour which changes to pink and it looks like it will be a fab colour.

Cobalt - This a a lovely deep blue but to be honest I can't really see a second colour but it is a nice colour by itself.

Overall these look like a great bunch of polishes.  From checking online it looks like this was a set of 8 polishes so I'm pleased that I managed to get 6 of them.  I cant wait to try them and will post swatches on here when I do. These are on sale in Superdrug for £6.49 so look out for them in Pound shops as this is a great bargain.

Forever 21 Haul

Here's my Forever 21 Haul from LA.  This will be a picture heavy post I'm afraid but I don't think many words are needed.    I always say this about everything but I just couldn't resist buying these pieces.  Forever 21 is so cheap that you can buy more than you normally would.  I only get a chance to visit it a couple of times a year in London so its nice in America when there are shops everywhere so you can keep going in and browsing (or buying ;)).   I must admit I generally prefer silver jewellery but some of the necklaces were so nice and where they didn't have them in silver I bought them in gold.

Clockwise from top left - All necklaces
4 Leaf Clover $4.80
Angel Wing $3.80
Side Cross $2.80
Keys $2.80
Handcuffs $3.80
2 Crosses $3.80

Leaf Bracelet $4.80
Wishbone Bracelet $1.80
Silver Heart Ring $2.80 (same ring in picture below)

Gold Cuff $5.80
Silver Cuff $4.80
Silver Heart Ring $2.80
Gold Heart Ring $2.80
2 Silver Rings $3.80

L-R Bracelets
Oui $3.80
Side Cross $2.80

I hope you like my haul.  Send me your links if you have any good hauls.

Zoya & O.P.I Nail Polish Haul

Here's some more pictures of my holiday nail polish haul.  I recently posted my Zoya PixieDust haul which was also part of it here.  I must admit I went a little bit mad as the Zoyas were only $8.50 and the O.P.Is were $7.50.  I could have bought more but managed to hold back and not buy the whole store (although I'm regretting it now).

Zoya Haul
As well as the 3 PixieDust polishes I also bought another 4 Zoya polishes. There were some lovely colours to choose from and I spent ages in the store before finally deciding on the 4 below.

Tinsley, Hazel, Noel, Feifei
Zoyas website describes it as rose gold foil metallic and to be honest that's exactly what it is a reddy pink colour mixed with fine gold glitter. Its a beautiful colour and I cant wait to try it on my nails.
Zoyas website describes this as a blue green foil metallic. This is a lovely silvery blue mixed with a fine gold glitter. Gorgeous.

Zoyas website describes this as a faded denim blue with subtle hints of gold and silver in a dense foil finish. Another fab colour, its more teal than denim blue with silver & gold mixed through it.
Zoyas website describes this as a medium steel blue base with heavy gold, blue and pink iridescent metallic sparkle. Very similar to Hazel although its a darker blue but I would say that the blue and gold is more evenly added in this colour so its as much gold as blue and is a very fine glitter.
I was obviously into blue polishes when I bought these as I must admit Hazel, Noel and Feifei do look quite similar in the bottle but I just couldn't resist them, Im hoping they look different on my nails.  I cant wait to try them and will post them on my blog when I get a good photo.

Bastille My Heart, Haven't The Foggiest, Tiffany Case
Bastille My Heart
This is a deep burgundy nail polish which looks like it will be great to wear for an evening out.

Haven't The Foggiest
This is a lovely silver metallic colour.

Tiffany Case Liquid Sand
This is a light blue with silver glitter which looks great.  I haven't tried any of the liquid sand polishes yet so I cant wait to try them.  Again I'm somewhat obsessed with blue nail polishes at the moment so seem to keep buying them.

I also got a O.P.I nail file for $1 (you can never have enough nail files).

2 x Nailtiques Formula 2 Nail Protein for soft, peeling, bitten, weak or thin nails.  I know these aren't Zoya or O.P.Is but they were part of the same haul so I wanted to include them.  My nails are rubbish at the moment, they are short and if I manage to grow them they break easily.  They are also soft and peel at lot.  I wish I could get gorgeous long nails like I see on peoples manicure posts but sadly short and stubby is what I am generally left with.  I have loads of different products to try out on my nails so hopefully this year I can test them all and show off the results here.  These were $5 each and are 4ml.

Anyway that's enough from me for now.  Hopefully I will get a chance to use these polishes soon and if I can get a decent photo I will post them on my blog.

Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencils at TK Maxx

Here's yet another bargain from TK Maxx.

I spotted a shelf full of makeup for a brand called Sue Devitt which I have never heard of before.  A quick google told me that Sue Devitt is an international makeup artist from Australia and her products were sold in the likes of Harvey Nichols and in the USA Macys and Barneys before the brand folded early in 2013.  So its fair to say this was a premium brand.  They had loads of different items including foundation, brushes and blushes, but it was the Eye Intensifier Pencils that caught my eye.  For a bargain £1.99 each I snapped up 6.

They have a lovely soft, creamy consistency and the colour payoff is great.  I have yet to test the staying power, but will update when I do.  Heres what I bought:
  1. Laos - A shimmery bronze colour
  2. Golden Triangle - Dark olive green with gold shimmer
  3. Gold Reef - Slightly darker than Laos
  4. Bangalore - a gorgeous olive gold colour
  5. Surat - a lovely metallic beige colour
  6. Epernay - a beautiful shimmery light beige colour, perfect to use as a highlighter
Here's some swatches:

Top to Bottom: Golden Triangle, Golden Reef, Laos, Epernay, Bangalore & Surat
I love them all and think they were a brilliant bargain.

YOU BEAUTY Discovery Box Review - January 2014

Well here is my first beauty box review of 2014.  I received my YOU BEAUTY Discovery box this week and here's what I received:

I chose the Organic Pharmacy Purifying Seaweed Clay Mask 5ml - I have always wanted to try this brand and I love face masks so I was happy with this pick although I wish it was bigger than 5ml because you need to use a product a few times to really find out if it works for you.  I will give this a go and report back.  This mask is a must for all skin types but especially congested and skin prone to spots and blackheads.

I also chose the Essie Repstyle Magnetic Nail Polish.  I love Essie polishes so I couldn't pass up a chance to receive another one to add to my collection.  I am not a fan of magnetic polishes so I will just use this as a normal polish as it is a great metallic colour.   I didn't get  to choose the colour that I received, but I was happy with the silvery dark blue colour that I received (its called Snake it up).  These polishes are currently only £2.50 on Fragrance Direct here.

I also received a packet of popchips barbeque potato chips and a sample sachet of AGE DEFY+24 hour brightening.  There was a voucher for £5 off 24 Hour Brightening as well.

The other choices available  for this box included:
  • Sanctuary Spa Active Reverse Body Polish Resurface & Refine Ultra Polish
  • Melvita Fresh Moisturising Body Milk
  • Ginvera Green Tea Exfoliating Gel
  • Thalgo Cocooning Cleansing Milk
  • Goldwell Kerasilk Rich Keratin Care Shampoo & Ultra Rich Keratin Care Daily Intense Mask
Overall this is not the best box I have received from YOU Beauty in terms of value and choice of products, but the options weren't bad so I will continue to subscribe to this box for now.

Which products did you choose?

YOU BEAUTY Discovery box is available for £6.95 per month here.

I bought this beauty box with my own money and any links in this post are not sponsored.

Bath & Body Works Haul

When I'm in America, after Sephora, Bath & Body Works is one of my favourite shops. On my last visit I swear I wasn't going to buy anything as I have loads of body sprays but when I went in to browse (honest) I just couldn't resist picking up a few sprays as I love them.

Signature Collection Travel Size Fine Fragrance Mist Japanese Cherry Blossom - 88ml
This is what its says on their website.
Japanese Cherry Blossom evokes the beauty of the exotic gardens of Japan with a graceful, award-winning blend of pear, Japanese Cherry Blossom & sandalwood.  Top Notes: Asian Pear, Fuji Apple and Ume Plumb.  Mid Notes: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose, Mimosa Petals. Dry Notes: Vanilla Rice, Imperial Amber, Silk Musk, Cinnamon Incense, Himalayan Cedarwood and creamy Sandalwood.

I really love this scent, I'm rubbish at describing scents but this is lovely as its not overpowering so it's nice to wear throughout the day.  If I had space in my suitcase I would have bought other products in this scent like hand sanitiser, hand wash, body lotions etc.

Signature Collection Travel Size Fragrance Mist Amber Blush - 88ml x2
This is what its says on their website.
Amber Blush fragrance captures the sensual warmth and luxury of a romantic getaway. Top Notes: Sparkling Bergamot, Juicy Mandarin, Raspberry Champagne. Mid Notes: Jasmine, Gardenia Petals, Star Anise, Apricot Nectar, Magnolia Blossom. Dry Notes: Creamy Vanilla Suede, Crystalized Amber, Golden Sandalwood, Soft Musk.

I haven't used this scent before but I really like Amber scents so cant wait to try it out.

These were $6 each or 3 for $12

I was definitely going to stop there but when I purchased the products above they gave me a voucher to use if I spent over $15 (I'm not 100% on the amount I needed to spend but it was around that amount) I could get another product free.  I have no willpower and so I just couldn't say no.  so here's what else I bought.

Aromatherapy Bath Soak Sleep - Lavender Vanilla - 481g - $16
This is what its says on their website.
Relax after a long day with skin-soothing bath soak formulated with an aromatherapy blend of essential oils and sea salts to provide calm and tranquil ambiane. Lavender Essential Oil and Vanilla Absolute calm feelings of stress for a more relaxed slumber.

This has a pleasant scent without being too strong.  I haven't used it yet but cant wait to try it.

Aromatherapy Body Wash & Foam Bath Sleep - Lavender Vanilla - 295ml - $13 (with the offer I got this free)
This is what its says on their website.
This fast-foaming body wash is infused with soothing skin conditioners, while an aromatherapy blend of essential oils and natural ingredients benefit body, mind & mood. For a bubbly bath, add a couple ounces to warm, running water. Breath deeply for best results.  Lavender Essential Oil and Vanilla Absolute calm feelings of stress for a more relaxed slumber.

I have used one of their body washes before and it was a really nice product so I thought I would try out a different scent.

I would really recommend visiting Bath & Body Works if you get the chance as it has a great range of products at really reasonable prices.

Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish Haul

Let me start off by saying that I love Zoya nail polishes.  They are probably my favourite brand but as you can only get them online and they are quite expensive, I've never bought any.  I got into them when I received some in beauty boxes over the last couple of years and also swapping with people but that's about it. When I was recently in America I came across a small shop that sold a range of beauty products and had stands with loads of Zoya polishes for $8.50 and O.P.I polishes for $7.50.  Man was I in my element.  I know I was on holiday but I think I went into that shop every evening and bought something (it would be rude not to).  In the end I got a great haul which I will post about soon but I was most excited about getting some Zoya PixieDust nail polishes. They are such lovely colours and in hindsight I wish I had bought more of them but never mind no need to be greedy.  In the end these are the 3 I picked up.
Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish in Liberty
Zoyas website describes this as blue sugary sparkle but I don't think this really describes this gorgeous polish with any justice as its such a great bright blue.  I used a base coat to prevent any staining and 2 layers to get this coverage which I think is just right.  I didn't use any top coat as I didn't want to spoil the affect.  It lasts a reasonable amount of time without chipping.
Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish in Stevie
Zoyas website describes it as a violet sparkle and that's exactly what it is. Its gorgeous, goes on with 2 layers and is easy to apply.  I must admit when I'm wearing this or any of the PixieDust range I can't stop looking at my nails they are mesmerising.  I love love love this colour.  I have worn it on my nails but haven't managed to get a photo that does it justice so far, so I've included this from Zoyas website.
Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish in Miranda
Zoyas website describes this colour as rose sparkle.    This is just so pretty, its a reddy pink and looks fantastic on my nails.    Again easy to apply in 2 layers.   I have worn it on my nails but haven't managed to get a photo that does it justice so far so I've included this from Zoyas website.
I love all these colours and can't pick a favourite.  I would love to get my hands on more of the range.  They are all easy to apply with just 2 layers and I haven't found them too much of a problem to remove from my nails as Ive got a nail polish remover that you dip your finger into and its especially for glitters which I got from a pound shop.

I will try and get my other nail polish hauls up on the blog as soon as I can.

Have you tried Zoya PixieDust yet, what do you think?  Where is the best place to buy Zoyas in the UK?

Online Christmas Sales Haul

I thought I would do a quick post on some of my online sales bargains that I have picked up over the Christmas period.

Aromatherphy Associates Festive Collection.  10 therapeutic blends of bath and shower oils.  I bought this from SpaceNK for half price. From £35 to £17.50.

I got these 3 Perfums for at least half price. SeeBy Chloe Eau De Parfum 50ml was £25 and Calvin Klein Down Town Eau De Parfum 50ml was £20 both were from Next. Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum Spray Gift Set 60ml was from Feel Unique and was reduced from £49 to 24.50.  This has been on my wish list for ages so I was really pleased with this purchase.

This Microwaveable Cuddle Hottie which I bought from Debenhams was £20 reduced to £8.50.

3 packs of L'Oreal Nails a Porter.  I bought these from Feel Unique they were originally £7.99 reduced to £3.99 each.  Ive already used 1 pair for my works Christmas party (held after Christmas don't ask!!) and they were very easy to apply.

My Nail Polish Diary by Nails Inc.  I think this is my favourite of everything I bought. I had my eye on this before Christmas but couldn't really justify it. When it went to half price this baby was mine.  It includes the popular Baker Street which annoyingly I finally got around to purchasing individually on my recent holiday so now I have 2. This was originally £42 reduced to £21. Bargain!!

Emma Hardie Special Edition Amazing Face Set which contains Rejuvenating Night Cream 100ml and scented Moringa candle.   This was originally £56 reduced to £15 including postage.

I bought some more Lush stuff online as I couldn't resist.    This little lot cost me £27.24 including P&P.

Well that's the end of my sales shops apart from some online Next stuff I'm waiting for but that's just for work.

What have you bought in the sale?

Christmas Presents

I thought I would do a quick post on the great Christmas presents I received this year.  I was thrilled with them all so I was really lucky.

I love Chanel Nail Polishes and the Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadows, so I was thrilled that my sister picked these beauties up for me at Duty Free at LAX.  I got Taboo and Bel-Argus nail polishes (sadly the photos do not do any justice to these vibrant shades).  The eyeshadow is Epatant which is a light olive gold shade.  I love these and can't wait to play around with them.

I had read about the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm on Beauty Mouth, so my sister bought me this as well.  I will review it soon.

I really wanted to check out the Charlotte Tilbury range so I was pleased to receive the Colour Chameleon Colour Morphing Eye Shadow Pencil in the shade Amber Haze which is recommended for brown eyes.  I can't wait to try this one out.

Pixi Glow Tonic is another product raved about on Beauty Mouth, so I had this on my wish list for ages and was lucky enough to receive it for Christmas. There was a great offer in store where you could buy the Glow Tonic and get the Honey Almond Polish (a natural deep cleanser and exfoliating face scrub in 1) for £4, so that was a nice extra.  I have used the face scrub and it is a really nice product.

I got a nice range of The Body Shop products, including Moringa Fragrance Mist and Eau de Toilette.  I love this fragrance and have been meaning to buy it for ages. I also got Ginger Sparkle Shower Gel, which smells gorgeous, Bronzing Powder in the shade Fair Matte which I can't wait to try out.  I haven't had a candle for so long, but this one is Sandalwood and Ginger, so I am looking forward to burning it.  The Vitamin E Moisture creams were freebies with the rest of the items (my family love bargains too, so they don't hide the fact even when it comes to pressies).

The Kiehls Ultra Facial Collection includes Ultra Facial Cleanser, Toner and Cream, and 2 samples of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate and one of the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution.

I haven't tried Burt's Bees before so I was happy to receive the Essential Collection which includes a lip balm, cuticle cream and hand cream.

This lovely set is from and includes a Chilla Vanilla Cleansing Shower Butter which sounds interesting and The Luxury Bath Box with 6 assorted bath melts.

My family know me well and know I love to receive Lush gifts.  I got a Creamy Candy Bath Bubble Bar Slice,  the Bombardino Bath Ballistic, Think Pink Bath Ballistic, Cinders Bath Ballistic, Amandopondo Bubble Bar Slice and Melting Snowman Bath Melt.

I also got the traditional yearly pressie of PJ's and slipper socks and a bottle of Baileys, so all in all it was a good year and my family loved the presents that I got them.

I hope you had a great Christmas.
