*ZeroWater 500ml Steel Bottle with UV-C LED Cap

*I received this product for free but the opinions are my own.

I always like to carry a reusable water bottle with me wherever I go, to make sure I drink as much water as possible to keep hydrated, but I must admit that I am always slightly worried about the bacteria that can accumulate in the bottles, especially as many of them are not dishwasher safe (as I have found, by wrecking a good few in my time, by forgetting that they shouldn't be put in the dishwasher).

The ZeroWater 500ml Steel Bottle with the UV-C LED Cap* is a great product as the cap kills 99.99% of the germs so you can safely keep hydrated on the go. The state-of-the-art ultraviolet C light keeps your bottle and water free from bugs. You simply press the lid and the UV-C light eliminates 99.99% of the germs. The cap has UV-C purification technology that automatically self cleans the contents of the bottle every hour. The cap has a magnetic, portless charging connector.

To use the cap you need to charge it fully before use. You then fill the bottle with water, screw on the cap and tighten for a proper seal. Gently press the button on top of the cap 2 times to activate the sterilisation (this sterilises for 2.5 minutes. You can then drink once the sterilisation is complete. The bottle cap turns on once every hour for 20 seconds to sterilise the bottle by shining the UV-C light. Please note that this is not suitable for water from a river or a stream. It is recommended that your should fill your water bottle with ZeroWater filtered water.

The bottle itself keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. Its made of double walled stainless steel, is BPA free, leak proof and dishwasher safe. It comes in 4 colours, blue, grey, black and pink and costs £44.99 from ZeroWater.
