I'm a big fan of The Hair Boss range and have tried out a number of the products so when I was sent The Hair Boss The Scalp Scrub* I couldn't wait to try it out. 

The Hair Boss The Scalp Scrub

The Scalp Scrub* is a pre-shampoo scrub which removes build up from your scalp and hairline.  It helps to reduce dandruff, stimulates hair follicles and helps to improve scalp health.  I must admit that I haven't tried out this type of product before, but I do get an itchy scalp with all the buildup so its a perfect product for me as its an exfoliator which helps to remove dirt and oil from the hair follicle leaving the scalp free from the buildup of styling products.

You can use this product weekly and start by sectioning damp hair with fingers so you can see the scalp and just squeeze a small amount of product onto your fingers and gently massage into your scalp.  Then just repeat until your scalp is fully covered and make sure you include your hairline and the nape of your neck (which is definitely the place that gets itchy on me).  Then rinse and follow with shampoo.  I find this quite relaxing to do as you are giving your head a nice massage as you work this product into your scalp.

The Scalp Scrub includes tea tree oil and rosemary extract which helps to reduce dandruff and encourages the scalps natural eco system.  You can purchase it from Superdrug for £7.99 for 150ml.

I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. For the price I was expecting to love it way more than I did. Primark LED Light Mask Review

I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources. Red Light - Use for Anti-Aging benefits by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Blue Light - Helps to remove acne causing bacteria and reduce skin  inflammation Yellow Light - Helps to improve rough skin, reduces appearance of wrinkles and skin redness To use you cleanse your face and apply soothing and hydrating products.  You can use with face cream, eye cream, facial mask, eye mask, essence, toner etc.  Press the button for 2 seconds to turn on and press again until the LED light that you want to use appears.  You then use it for 10-20 minutes.  It does advise that in case of sensitivity to use with your eyes closed.  After use switch

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer Review - Bobbi Brown Dupe

I managed to get my hands on the newly released Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi which is supposed to be a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. It costs £5.99 for 50ml whereas the Bobbi Brown product costs £48.50 for 50ml. That's a big difference especially at times like these when every penny counts. The big question - is it any good? I actually really enjoyed using this primer. I have dry skin and this thick creamy primer really suited my skin. It contains vitamin c, vitamin b, vitamin e, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate & geranium oil and I found it very hydrating on my skin and it provided a great base for my makeup. My makeup stayed on all day and didn't go patchy or dry. It also has a fresh grapefruit and geranium scent which is really refreshing, but don't worry its not an overpowering smell.
