Last Minute Stocking Fillers - *Solid Cologne UK - One for the Guys

This stocking filler is for the guys so if you have a partner, brother, son or male friend and you aren't sure what to buy them for Christmas then this product might be the one for you.  I was sent a tin of Solid Cologne UK (SCUK) solid fragrance Sikandar to review.  I hadn't heard of this brand before and although I have seen solid fragrances for women, I haven't seen them for men.  You can read more about Solid Cologne UK here.

Sikandar has fresh and citrusy top notes, followed by warm and spicy middle notes including geranium, cinnamon and cloves.  Base notes include sandalwood, vetiver, cedarwood and musk.  The ingredients are all natural and include Beeswax, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.  Overall it is a great scent, it smells amazing when you wear it and to be honest I would be tempted to buy it for myself not just as a gift for a guy.  The solid fragrance comes in a decreet little black tin that you can keep in one of your pockets and just whip out when you need a bit of a refresh.

Solid Cologne is a solid wax based cologne/aftershave made with natural wax and skin friendly cologne which is applied directly to the skin.  The scent is subtle but I really like it and it makes a change from the overpowering colognes/aftershaves that some people favour (you know the ones that get right up your nose when someone passes you in the street).

There are 10 colognes for men as well as 3 ladies solid perfumes. They are available on the Solid Cologne UK website for £19.99 for 18ml.  This is a great gift for the guys in your life.

**Reposted as the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer is  currently reduced to £2.50 from £4.50. I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. For the price I was expecting to love it way more than I did. Primark LED Light Mask Review

I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources. Red Light - Use for Anti-Aging benefits by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Blue Light - Helps to remove acne causing bacteria and reduce skin  inflammation Yellow Light - Helps to improve rough skin, reduces appearance of wrinkles and skin redness To use you cleanse your face and apply soothing and hydrating products.  You can use with face cream, eye cream, facial mask, eye mask, essence, toner etc.  Press the button for 2 seconds to turn on and press again until the LED light that you want to use appears.  You then use it for 10-20 minutes.  It does advise that in case of sensitivity to use with your eyes closed.  After use switch

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer Review - Bobbi Brown Dupe

I managed to get my hands on the newly released Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi which is supposed to be a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. It costs £5.99 for 50ml whereas the Bobbi Brown product costs £48.50 for 50ml. That's a big difference especially at times like these when every penny counts. The big question - is it any good? I actually really enjoyed using this primer. I have dry skin and this thick creamy primer really suited my skin. It contains vitamin c, vitamin b, vitamin e, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate & geranium oil and I found it very hydrating on my skin and it provided a great base for my makeup. My makeup stayed on all day and didn't go patchy or dry. It also has a fresh grapefruit and geranium scent which is really refreshing, but don't worry its not an overpowering smell.
