Declutter Part 1 - Makeup Palettes

There are so many new products entering the beauty market all the time that it's hard to keep up.  I love buying makeup, but unlike some I don't collect makeup, so I have been meaning to have a little clearout so that I can get rid of the things that I don't use to make room for all the new goodies that are on my wishlist.  I thought I would start with quite an easy category for me - makeup palettes.  I don't really have that many, but I would like to go through everything to declutter the palettes that I never reach for.  Here's a photo of all the palettes that I own.
Declutter Part 1 - Makeup Palettes

Urban Decay Naked Smoky (cost £38.50) – this is a really nice palette with a mixture of nude and dark shades (matte & satin) and it comes with a useful double ended brush.  As much as I would love to rock a smoky eye, my hooded eyelids just won’t have it, so I am happy to give this away to one of my sisters who I know will make use of it.

Urban Decay Naked (cost £38.50) - This is the original and I think the best Naked palette and I have used it loads, so I will definitely be keeping it.  The colours are all great and it also has a brown and black double ended eye liner which is really good.

GOSH Cool With Copenhagen (cost £10.99)– 9 shade matte eyeshadow palette.  I prefer satin or metallic eyeshadow, so I know that I will never reach for this palette filled with neutral and darker shades.  This will probably end up on my blog sale.

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Blush Palette (Cost £29.50) – I haven’t used this one yet, but I do like Benefit blushes, so I am going to keep hold of it and make an effort to use it between now and Christmas.

Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave by British Beauty Blogger Eye Shadow Palette (cost £9.99) – This palette has so many great shades (30 in total) and was great value, so I am definitely keeping hold of this one.

Marks & Spencers British Beauty Blogger Cheek and Eye Palette (cost £14) – this is a nice little palette, but it looks a little too sparkly for me, so I am going to pass this on.

Tarte Off The Cuff Amazonian Cheek Palette (cost $42) – I think this is a great value palette, but I don’t wear blush or bronzer every day and I already have the Benefit blush palette, so there really is no need to keep this one.

Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3 (cost £4)  and MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Palette (cost £4) – these are really great value eyeshadow palettes that I take with me when I am travelling as it's really not a problem if you lose them or break them on your travels and they have loads of lovely colours which are all really wearable

Finally LORAC Pro Palette (Cost $42) - I bought this in LA and whilst I haven't got round to using it yet I am not going to part with it as it's so hard to get in the UK.

So out of 10 palettes I am getting rid of 4 which is pretty good.

Have you done any decluttering?

I bought these products with my own money
