*Fun Gifts - KIKKERLAND Camera Pencil Sharpener & Chemistry 101 Flask Book

I was recently sent a couple of products that would be perfect when you just need a fun gift for someone in your life.  The Camera Pencil Sharpener* is one of those products you don't know you need and makes a perfect gift for that hard to buy for person.  Its from Kikkerland and is available to purchase from Amazon for £13.99.  Funnily enough I was wondering if I even had any pencils to sharpen when I got this product, but I found I had loads that I wasn't able to use as they hadn't been sharpened for ages, because guess what I couldn't find a pencil sharpener anywhere in the house.  Never mind a gift for someone else I love this product it works great giving a perfectly sharpened pencil, but the best thing is it reminds me of the old school pencil sharpeners I had at school back in the day as it works the same as those did but looks cool as its in the style of an old school camera.  This is one gift I'm keeping for myself.  Is it sad that I find it satisfying to use and have sharpened every pencil in the house that I could find just for fun.  There is no mess either as it has a tray included that holds all the shavings.

The second gift is perfect for anyone that wants to look smart carrying around a chemistry book while hiding a flask and being able to take a quick swig of alcohol whenever the mood takes you.  The Chemistry 101 Flask Book* looks like a chemistry book from the outside, but hides a stainless steel flask with a screw on top.  Easy to carry around or pop in your bag although hopefully no one starts to engage you in conversation about your interest in chemistry as I must admit that is one GCSE that I failed.  The Chemistry 101 Flask Book* is from Kikkerland and can be purchased from Amazon for £12.27.

Both these gifts would have been ideal for Fathers day (better than the usual socks and/or ties that a lot of us are guilty of), but to be honest they are ideal gifts for any time and any person (of the appropriate age for the flask obviously).

**Reposted as the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer is  currently reduced to £2.50 from £4.50. I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. For the price I was expecting to love it way more than I did. I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources. Red Light - Use for Anti-Aging benefits by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Blue Light - Helps to remove acne causing bacteria and reduce skin  inflammation Yellow Light - Helps to improve rough skin, reduces appearance of wrinkles and skin redness To use you cleanse your face and apply soothing and hydrating products.  You can use with face cream, eye cream, facial mask, eye mask, essence, toner etc.  Press the button for 2 seconds to turn on and press again until the LED light that you want to use appears.  You then use it for 10-20 minutes.  It does advise that in case of sensitivity to use with your eyes closed.  After use switch

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer Review - Bobbi Brown Dupe

I managed to get my hands on the newly released Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi which is supposed to be a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. It costs £5.99 for 50ml whereas the Bobbi Brown product costs £48.50 for 50ml. That's a big difference especially at times like these when every penny counts. The big question - is it any good? I actually really enjoyed using this primer. I have dry skin and this thick creamy primer really suited my skin. It contains vitamin c, vitamin b, vitamin e, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate & geranium oil and I found it very hydrating on my skin and it provided a great base for my makeup. My makeup stayed on all day and didn't go patchy or dry. It also has a fresh grapefruit and geranium scent which is really refreshing, but don't worry its not an overpowering smell.
