Bra Fitting at Bravissimo

Image
I am a 30plus blogger so I really don't know why I have put off having a bra fitting for so long.  I have suffered many a badly fitting bra in the past so I finally popped into Bravissimo which  is a shop that specialises in underwear in D cup and above. I didn't book an appointment, so had to wait about 5 minutes before a bra fitter was available.  I had picked a style of bra that I liked and also a sports bra to take in to the fitting with me. The bra fitter came into the changing room with me and told me that they didn't use a tape measure, so she checked the fit of the bra that I was wearing (which fit really well according to her which was great as I had purposely chosen one of my better fitting bras).  First of all she went to find out if they had the styles that I had already picked in my size (the same size as the bra that I was wearing).  When she came back she advised that they didn't have my size in the bra that I had picked, so she brought a similar br

Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel Review

Image
I have been using Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel * for about a month now and I'm really happy with the results.  It's really easy to use, you cleanse your face and apply a thick layer to your clean skin and leave for 5-15 minutes.  It has a pleasant, light fragrance and after application I found that there was a slight tingling sensation on my skin, but this was not uncomfortable.  After 15 minutes (I leave it on for the maximum amount of time as I like to relax with it on in the bath), I then remove the excess with a muslin cloth.  It leaves my skin looking brighter and it feels smoother.  I really like this product and it has become a staple in my skincare routine. I use it once a week, but you can use it up to 3 times a week. This gel formula peel gently eliminates dead skin cells at the surface to reveal the natural radiance and luminosity of your skin.  It's formulated using dual technology of Glycolic Acid integrated with Pomegranate Enzymes.

Bend It Like Beckham The Musical

Image
I've just got back from 2 days in London and I had a great time.  I went to see Bend It Like Beckham The Musical while I was there as I loved the film and I also like Jamie Campbell Bower who starred in The Mortal Instruments and Twilight (to name just a couple of movies he's been in).   Photo from Bend It Like Beckham Website This really was a fab show, really funny and engaging and I loved the songs. I must admit one of the things I was worried would let the show down was the songs as the film that it's based on was not a musical, but they were all really catchy.  The actors were fantastic and the leads had great chemistry.  I really enjoyed watching the entire cast.  The traditional Indian family of Jess the female lead were really funny and there were plenty of laugh out loud moments throughout the show.   I loved that the cast kept walking through the aisles when they exited the stage as well.  We were sitting by the centre aisle, so enjoyed the fact that so man

Victoria's Secrets Offer - Buy One Get One Free on Fragrance Mists

Image
I couldn't resist the current offer on at Victoria's Secret when I went shopping today.  It was Buy One Get One Free on the Fragrance Mists.  I really like their Fragrance Mists but at £22 I like to wait for one of their offers, such as getting the reward card when you spend £10 or more, or BOGOF.   I could have bought them all but in the end, after much deliberation I decided to go for the following: Bombshell Body Mist which is described on their US website as a  glamorous blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la yellow peony and vanilla orchid . Scandalous Fragrance Mist which is described on their US website as  a sultry blend of raspberry liqueur, black peony and praline. I love the smell of them and at £22 for both I couldn't help myself. I'm not sure how long the offer is on for but it's worth checking out if you have a Victoria's Secret store nearby.                                              Leighlee I bought these with my own

Cult Beauty Haul

Cult Beauty had some great offers on recently, so of course I had to take advantage of them.  Here's what I bought. The first offer was spend £95 and receive a free goody bag worth £170.  I knew it would be easy to spend £95 at Cult Beauty and I duly bought: Living Proof Curl Detangling Rinse  and  Conditioning Wash . I can't wait to try out these products as I have never bought anything from this brand before.  I have been on a quest to find products that help me to make the most of my natural curls (see my previous post about that here ) so I will try these out and let you know how I get on. I sometimes suffer from an itchy scalp at the back of my head near my neck and even though it's not too bad I wanted to try out a product that would help with this.  So I picked up  Sachajuan Scalp Shampoo  which helps to sooth irritated scalp.  Again, I will let you know how I get on with this. One thing that I had not planned on buying was  Alpha H Liquid Gold , bu

Angela Langford Skincare Sample Pack

Image
I love happening upon skincare brands that I have never come across before. One such brand is Angela Langford  which I spied on my facebook page one day. The thing that caught my interest was the skincare sample pack  which costs £4.50 for postage and packing.  How many times do you buy a product, because it seems like it will be perfectly suited to your skin, only to find that it's not quite right, so you discard it and move onto the next one looking for your holy grail product.  Angela Langford gives you the opportunity to try a range of sample products before you commit to buying the full size which I think is great and shows how confident she is about her products. Angela will hand select a range of samples suitable for your skin type based on some questions that you answer when you purchase the sample pack. I  received this lovely package a couple of days after I placed my order.  It came with a personalised letter from Angela explaining the samples that she had selected
