I recently used Vidal Sassoon Salonist to colour my hair and I have to say I am really impressed with this hair colour.
The unique thing about Vidal Sassoon Salonist is that it has a 2 step process. You apply the product to your roots first, leave for 20 minutes and then add a serum to the colourant and apply to your lengths and leave for another 10 minutes.
Vidal Sassoon Salonist was relatively easy to apply to my roots, although I will admit that I did need help to apply it to the back of my head. The rest of the application was easy and I can't believe it only took 10 minutes for the serum part of the application to take.
The instruction included with Vidal Sassoon Salonist could not be clearer which was helpful. I love the fact that a brush is included in order to help you paint your roots. This is a unique part of the product which I have never seen included with any other hair dye.
It's so different from any that I have used in the past and it's probably the best one that I have ever tried. It's the only hair colour that has left me with the same overall colour on my roots and on the ends of my hair. It does not seem to be one block colour and it has left my curly hair shiny and glossy. It's worth the effort of the two stage process to apply the colour and the brush that is included in the pack is very useful.
The results were the best I have ever experienced and as close to a salon finish as I could hope to achieve at home. There was no difference between the colour on the roots and the length which is definitely a first for me. The colour was pretty much spot on to the photo on the front of the pack. Usually when I use a dark brown hair dye, it ends up almost black on my hair.
I love the results and I will definitely use Vidal Sassoon Salonist again. The results were the best I have ever experienced with a home hair dye.
I received this free from Supersavvy to try out and report back on. My review is an honest review of what I thought of this product.
