I was kindly sent The Geomag Mechanics Challenge Strike set* to review recently. I have had the chance to try out a few sets from this company so couldn't wait to try this one out.
The Geomag (779) Mechanics Challenge Strike

If you like building things and knocking things down this is the game for you. Ok that's a bit simplistic for this set but true. You build it using the instructions which are pretty easy to follow, but if you get stuck there were some good tutorials on YouTube. Then you load the spheres to start the gravity motor. Basically the faster you load them the faster it goes. You need to speed up to knock down the pins that are on the board. You can play alone or challenge your friends to see who can knock the most down in the shortest amount of time. There are a number of variations you can try with the pins - Tall Pins and Short Pins, Wrecking Ball, Domino Pins and Super Pins.

The set has 185 pieces and includes a storage box. It can be played with 1-4 players and is suitable for ages 8+. The plastic is 90% recycled and the packaging is 70% recycled. Its available here for £49. This is another great set from GEOMAG which helps kids learn about the world of magnets and mechanical construction while having fun.  Another great option for a Christmas Gift.

I picked up the Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer because it looked like it was a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Primark version costs £4.50 for 45ml and the Bobbi Brown Face Base costs £48.50 for 50ml, so there is quite a price difference.   I had always wanted to try out the Bobbi Brown product, so when I received a mini version in a gift with purchase goody bag I was really excited to try it out, but I have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed.  I have quite dry skin and the face base did not have as much slip as I was expecting, so it didn't feel smooth when I applied my foundation. For the price I was expecting to love it way more than I did. Primark LED Light Mask Review

I have wanted to get an LED Mask for ages but with prices for some of them at over £400 I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and buy one yet. So when I saw the LED Light Mask in Primark for £15 I just had to try it out.  The Primark version targets 3 different skin concerns with 3 different types of light sources. Red Light - Use for Anti-Aging benefits by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Blue Light - Helps to remove acne causing bacteria and reduce skin  inflammation Yellow Light - Helps to improve rough skin, reduces appearance of wrinkles and skin redness To use you cleanse your face and apply soothing and hydrating products.  You can use with face cream, eye cream, facial mask, eye mask, essence, toner etc.  Press the button for 2 seconds to turn on and press again until the LED light that you want to use appears.  You then use it for 10-20 minutes.  It does advise that in case of sensitivity to use with your eyes closed.  After use switch

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer Review - Bobbi Brown Dupe

I managed to get my hands on the newly released Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi which is supposed to be a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. It costs £5.99 for 50ml whereas the Bobbi Brown product costs £48.50 for 50ml. That's a big difference especially at times like these when every penny counts. The big question - is it any good? I actually really enjoyed using this primer. I have dry skin and this thick creamy primer really suited my skin. It contains vitamin c, vitamin b, vitamin e, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate & geranium oil and I found it very hydrating on my skin and it provided a great base for my makeup. My makeup stayed on all day and didn't go patchy or dry. It also has a fresh grapefruit and geranium scent which is really refreshing, but don't worry its not an overpowering smell.
