Kiehl's Recycle & Be Rewarded Program

I recently posted about the Kiehl's Family Rewards loyalty scheme here.  One of the benefits of joining this loyalty scheme is that they have a recycling scheme which is great on it's own, but what's even better is that you can earn points by recycling if you are a loyalty member.

Kiehl's RecycleKiehl's Recycle & Be Rewarded Program & Be Rewarded Program

If you recycle your empties with The Recycle & Be Rewarded program you earn 15 points for each empty product you recycle and it doesn't have to be a Kiehl's branded product.

When you have collected 120 points you earn a voucher which if you are in store you can use against a complimentary travel size product worth up to £9.75 or online you can use it on any full size product and get £10 off (min spend of £10) and as you are a member of the loyalty scheme you get free delivery as well.

There are certain empties that you can recycle and certain ones you can't.  I've included the list below.

Accepted

  • All Kiehl's product packaging
  • All brands of body and skincare plastic packaging (body lotions, face creams, serums, sun creams, cleansers and face mask treatments) (Edit Dec 2022 please note I always get told in store that I can't recycle body lotion packaging even though it is included on the list on Kiehl's website so just wanted to let you know incase you want to recycle any you may not get points for them).
Not Accepted
  • Sample Sachet Packaging
  • Outer packaging and plastic wrapping
  • Makeup products or brushes
  • Fragrance or perfume bottles
  • Other brands of body/hand wash, deodorant, bath/hair product packaging which aren't Kiehl's
  • Other brands of glass skincare packaging which are not Kiehl's
I think this is a great way of recycling those skincare products that aren't easy to recycle and getting reward points for recycling is great if you like to shop at Kiehl's.  It's a win win for me.

I've gone into my local branch a couple of times and its been a quick and easy process.  You give them your email address that you have registered on the Family Rewards Loyalty Scheme and they check how many items you are recycling and if they meet the criteria above and then add the points to your account.  It couldn't be simpler.  If you don't have a local branch you can recycle online but unfortunately you don't earn any points as far as I'm aware.

If you are interested in joining the rewards program I have a referral code where we both receive 50 points when you make your first purchase after joining and you only need 120 points to get your first £10 voucher. You can register here using my referral link mzf5kvwm (many thanks if you do as its one of my favourite stores to shop in for skincare).
