Harvey Nichols Haul - Charlotte Tilbury & MAC

Image
I recently took advantage of a 15% discount at Harvey Nichols and picked up some Charlotte Tilbury products that have been on my wishlist for a while. Here's what I purchased: The Rock N Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil Eye Cheat For Bigger Brighter Eyes - I'm always looking for products to enhance my eyes, so can wait to try this as the formula is so soft (this was £19 before the discount). Lip Magic Rejuvenating Smoothing Propolis Balm - I always have really dry lips no matter how many times I apply lip balm.  This was expensive, but I thought it was worth a try (this was £25 before the discount). Lip Lustre Luxe Colour-Lasting Lip Lacquer in Ibiza Nights.  This is a lovely shimmering gold coloured lip gloss that works great on its own, but also goes perfectly on top of Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Stoned Rose that I already own (Ibiza Nights was £16.50 before the discount). The girls on the Charlotte Tilbury stand were lovely and helpful as always and the one

Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge Review

Image
I bought the Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge from TKMaxx awhile back as I had been wanting to try out one of these sponges for ages.   It's really easy to use, you soak it in water and then massage it on your face with or without a cleansing product.  I have used it both ways and found it works as well either way.  I prefer to use it with a cleansing product, but that might be because I have so many of them to use up. I do use it without the cleansing product when I'm in a rush though and I am happy with the results. It does make my skin feel really clean and smooth after using this product. The sponge does harden when it's dried out but just pop it in water and it soon goes soft again.  It also has a little attachment so you can hang it up in the shower to dry off which is handy. The Elite Models Spa Face Konjac Sponge is made from 100% natural vegetable fibres.  It cleanses and gently exfoliates and is suitable for all skin types. I bought this for £3

Metallic Nail Polish

Image
I love metallic nail polish for so many reasons.  It's easy to apply and more often than not only requires 1 coat.  It drys quickly, you don't need to apply a top coat and if it chips, it's very easy to apply another coat over the top to cover up the chip.  They are the perfect shades for summer and winter and are appropriate for day and night.  At least I think so.  What's not to love.  So I thought I would just share a few of my favourite metallic nail polishes with you. From left to right in the photos above: L'Oreal Color Riche Saphir Treasure - This is a baby blue metallic shade Essie - Nothing Else Metals - A gorgeous metallic lilac that I never get bored of. L'Oreal Color Riche Sweet Amethyst - This is the perfect rose gold colour OPI Haven't The Foggiest - This is a great silver polish Marc Jacobs Gatsby - This is another rose gold shade that is slightly darker than the L'Oreal one above Illamasqua Snap - This is a dark silver me

IN.FUSED Coconut Coffee Body Scrub Review

Image
I know I have said this before, but I do love subscribing to beauty boxes such as Birchbox and You Beauty Discovery as they are a great way of finding out about lots of brands that you don't see in places like Boots or Superdrug.  One such brand is   IN.FUSED   and I received a sample of their  Coconut Coffee Scrub   from You Beauty Discovery. I have to admit that I was slightly taken aback when I opened the packet and what looked like coffee grinds landed in the palm of my hand.  I know it's called Coconut COFFEE Scrub, but I guess I just wasn't expecting so much coffee.  It also smells strongly of coffee, which I like (even though I don't actually like drinking coffee). As I said the scrub is mostly coffee, but you can also see dried coconut flakes and sugar granules. You simply dampen your skin and apply enough to cover your whole body, then massage the scrub into your skin.  Leave on for 7-10 minutes, then rinse off with a light body wash.  The scrub is gra
