Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish Haul from Poundworld

Image
Check out my Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish Haul from Poundworld.  This is one of my best hauls ever.  I have had my eye on these polishes for ages, but I have so many in my stash that I couldn't justify a spending spree on more nail polishes.  When they are only a £1, then you cannot say no.  I bought 8 different shades.  They are currently £6.49 in Boots. China Flower, Wild Violets, Moonlit Woods, Balsam Fir Fresh Linen, Autumn Spice, Italian Leather, Spun Sugar I am really happy with my purchases and can't wait to try them all out.  Have you bought any pound shop bargains lately? Leighlee I bought these with my own money

My Recent Empties

Image
I seem to have used a  lot of products lately as my photos below will show, but no matter how many I use my stash never seems to go down.  Does that happen to anyone else?  I'm not sure what I think will happen if it ever runs out apart from me going out and buying more, but for some reason I aspire to have a non-existent stash. Saying that my hauls & Beauty Boxes don't help. Here's some of the products that stood out not always for good reasons. Rodial Bathing Balm Rehab - I got this tub in the SPACE.NK sale last year I think. It is a nice product to use in your bath to have a relaxing soak, but I must admit it was strange to put your hand in and scoop the product out as it was very slimy.  I'm not sure I would repurchase this one. St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub - I like this salt scrub and I have already reviewed it here . Soap & Glory Bad Hair Day Daily Super Shampoo - I bought this in a box set at Christmas and wasn't expecting much but

You Beauty Discovery Box Review - August 2014

Image
Here is the August 2014 You Beauty Discovery Box.   The theme of this months box is Summer Essentials and here is what I chose: Gazelli Triple Youth with White Oil Duo (worth £19.50) Gazellis luxury discovery set is the perfect one-week introduction to the Triple Youth range and includes an Ultimate Firming Serum (5ml) and Intensive Age-Repair Cream (5ml) to give your skin the ultimate rejuvenation. Justbe Hydrating Serum (worth £11.65) An intensely hydrating serum that provides an instant feeling of skin firmness and improved elasticity. Scented with orange blossom which in addition to being a wonderful natural toner has a balancing effect on emotions. Apply a couple of drops to cleansed skin morning and night. I am really into anti-aging products, especially serums so I was really happy with the items that I picked and I can't wait to use them. Other options included: Peggy Sage Nail Polish summer collection or nude collection Rose &a

Ojon Rare Blend Tamer Wand Review

Image
Here's my review on the Ojon Rare Blend Tamer Wand.  I am trying to search out products that help with my curly, frizzy unruly hair and I really think I have found something that does.  So often you read about products and think they sound perfect for your needs, but the reality is that a lot of the time, you end up being disappointed.   The Ojon Rare Blend Tamer Wand is really easy to use, almost like a mascara wand for your hair.  I usually end up with some short strands of hair around my hairline, frizzing up by the end of the day and nothing really seems to flatten them down for any decent length of time.  I just comb this through the front and side bits of my hair and the gel like liquid flattens the frizzy bits and they stay that way for the rest of the day.  It doesn't leave my hair looking greasy and it doesn't leave any flaky bits in my hair. It costs £12.50 for 13ml at Boots, which sounds like a lot, but a little goes a long way and I think it will la

Things To Do In Yorkshire

As it's now the summer holidays (I really wish I had 6 weeks off work, that would be great) I thought it would be good time to write about places to visit in the Yorkshire Area. Yorkshire Wildlife Park - Doncaster I visited for the first time last month when I had a week off work. The weather was absolutely fabulous (which is typical as I forgot my suntan lotion). This is a great place for adults and children alike. It's in Doncaster and is easy to get to from the A1 (more details here ). There are plenty of animals to see such as Lions, Tigers, Amur Leopards, Giraffes, Zebras, Ostriches, Camels, Meercats and Squirrel Monkeys, the list goes on. You can get pretty close to all the animals (obviously with barriers around the dangerous ones) and there are some great viewing areas. We had a fabulous view of the leopard walking up his climbing frame. There were some animals that we didn't see much of such as the lions and tigers and painted h

Two Together Railcard

I just thought I would let you know about the Two Together Railcard. If you travel by train with the same person quite regularly, then for £30 (between you) you can purchase this railcard which then gives you a third off standard and first class train travel.  I travel with my sister to London and Manchester quite regularly so this card is  perfect for me. I have already saved £23.80 on my first journey,  which shows what good value this card is. It lasts for a year and you have to travel with the person you share the card with for the full journey. You can have more than 1 card, which is useful if you travel regularly with different people. If you are interested in this railcard, then the full details are here and you can apply for it online (you will need a digital photo to upload when you apply). Until 17th May 2015, you can get £3 off  the Two Together railcard when you enter the code ONLINE when you order.  Details are  here . There are restrictions

Essence Makeup Haul

Image
Here is my first ever Essence Makeup Haul.  Essence is a cosmetics brand that I have not heard much about, but Wilkinson has a 3 for 2 offer on right now, so I thought that I would pick up a few products to test them out.  You can check out Essence Cosmetics website here .  Here's what I bought: The Essence Blush Up Powder Blush in the shade 10 Heat Wave is the first product that caught my eye, mainly because it's an ombre blush.  I have coveted an ombre blush ever since I saw a limited edition Mac blush that I couldn't get my hands on. This one is a lot cheaper at £3.50 and it's a rather nice product.  It's quite fine and not dusty at all and has a great colour payoff. As you can see from the photo below you get 3 colours from one blush.  There is a lovely bright orange colour at one side and a hot pink colour at the other. Mix them together and you get a lovely coral colour.  I don't normally wear blush this bright, but with a light hand all these colou
